No. His performance on the field is still very good and he's a leader on and off the field. I hope he retires as a 49er.

Lynch and Shanny learned their lesson after screwing up the Buckner situation. You don't gamble trading away an all-pro in hopes that you can draft their replacement. I'm still pissed that we lost Defo for basically nothing, and I'm THRILLED that Kittle is most likely going to retire playing for only the 49ers

By the way, I wouldn't have traded him for a 1st in this weaker draft class, so a 2nd is insulting and I'm happy Lynch told them to eat one.

Yes I would have traded him.....for two 1st round picks and a 2nd round pick and we have a deal. Oh and I want Putney, David Putney.

Obviously this. Kittle is the type of player I could see playing at a high level well into his 30's. He is the heartbeat of the offense, and don't forget how weak this years draft was.

They turned down a 2nd round pick for a trade for Kittle. During the draft. According to reports. Where in the 2nd? Late 2nd I wouldn't do it. Early 2nd I would think about it. Because he's 31, high salary, this team won't win now. Build for the future. I would maybe consider that. But I need to know more details first about what was really offered and by who?

Never forget Lynch traded away Buckner in his prime, granted for a 1st round pick, but then gave the same contract Buckner wanted to Armstead. Buckner was once just as endeared by this fanbase as Kittle. There is always a price for anyone to be had.
