Robert Saleh - Head Coach - Tennessee Titans

If Saleh goes, I hope he gets snatched up quickly so the 49ers aren't locked out of the top DCs available.

I couldn't help but notice that Kyle and Gym Shorts looked super chummy before and after the Browns game so I wonder if there have been some discussions there in case Saleh was 1 and done.

I'm with you and would like to grab Schwartz while we can and not get screwed over with Saleh leaving once all good DCs are grabbed. We'll be stuck with Bradley and who knows is Bradley doesn't just leave with him as well, then we're really in trouble all over again.

I think he's a really good coach. Definitely better than some we've had in the past. I think his biggest attribute is his energy and he gets the players to rally around him. But scheme wise not really a fan, we lineup and pretty much do the same thing all the time. He doesn't seem to confuse offenses much and definitely cannot scheme up blitzes. I know a lot of people say we do not have the personnel to blitz, but that's the whole point of scheming up something.
i'm not sure Kyle's philosophy is to be a more aggressive type defense so in the end, I hope he stays.

Most of the jobs available I didn't think would be great fits for Saleh with either no QB in place or bad ownership/too much turnover...then Ravens fired John Harbaugh.

I'm hoping they go with an offensive minded HC but if Saleh can bring in Mike McDaniels...it's game over.

I agree the job openings are not appealing other than Baltimore. I hope that would incentivize Saleh to stay another year. We have seen what he can do with a healthy roster. I believe he can do that again...next year.

Also, if he stays another year and then leaves for a HC gig, we get #3 picks for two years. No picks if he leaves after only one.

Saleh stays.

I noticed that as well.

I guess I'm a little surprised at all the attention Saleh is getting, but if he goes, JS is by far #1 on my list.

It's really hard to change up the scheme a lot when most of the players are fresh off the street or the Practice Squad. It is hard enough to get newbies to play a simple scheme but impossible to move them around and expect good coverage.
Not he wouldn't be a good hire but the Dolphins have literally no idea what the hell they're doing. I mean, do they just think well the first Shanahan assistant we hired didn't work so let's try another one. That's what it seems like although he's not the only candidate so that's just what I thought of. I'm still fairly sure they don't know what the f**k they're doing.

I think Kyle brought in Gus Bradley for this but then again, Saleh could poach him too.

I wouldn't mind Saleh going to Baltimore cause then I could root for him an AFC team. I've always had respect for that org.
I originally thought he wouldn't take a or get a HC job this year. But with how many HC openings there are. He will def be gone now.

If Baltimore offers you say yes. Probably if Atlanta does too. Should say no to rest. Bad organizations with bad owners or in New York where he's been already.

Atlanta's QB situation is not very well settled. Penix is recovering from his third ACL (different knee) suffered in week 11 and will not be available until into the season. He still has not shown his draft value. He's just another athlete trying to learn to be a QB.

I doubt Saleh would go there.

Bradley would be Wilks level disappointing, he hasn't really updated his scheme or changed things much since the early Seattle days.

Dinosaurs can be successful. For example Lord fangio
If Saleh does really want to move on to a HC this coming year, He can make a claim for being one of the top options tomorrow by having his defense ready and having them play a complete game.

I also think Kyle consistently limits his options by only looking at DC options who will continue to run the current scheme.
Find the best DC
Wasn't Kyle chatting with Schwartz for a long time after the Cleveland game? If Saleh leaves and Jim doesn't have any HC aspirations...come on down!
