No. He has pro bowl players at every level. He's got a bunch of young talent to develop. This isn't the same rebuild he had to start with before.
Huh? I count 2 Pro Bowlers total - Bosa, Warner. Who is the Pro Bowler in the secondary?
Lenior?
Lenoir getting pro bowl snubbed this year was BS.

Two things will be different. The youngsters will bring a lot of energy. They will be like a pack of ravenous dogs led by their crazy ass high energy leaders, swarming. A good thing. The bad, being young is their experience when the opponents try to take advantage with schemes. How much they let the dogs out, but yet keep them on a leash will be the key. The other D cord were low energy.

So cool to see him speaking as a 49ers coach once again.

He almost looks emotional when speaking of his gratitude

Really I don't know of a better duo of Kris Kocurek and Robert Saleh to coach up and bond this new dline together

I didn't dive deep, but I think Saleh's scheme with the Jets didn't disrupt routes early as much as when he was DC the first time with the 49ers. I love aggressive DBs/LBs attacking early, even if they then drop into zones.
Am I mistaken? (I hope I am)

Haven't really been in the pre season game threads but I've noticed that the wide 9 isn't used as much as they used to. I noticed a bit more 5 man fronts. And Saleh seems to be much more aggressive. I've notice a ton of blitzes on 3rd downs to get us off the field. I like it. Maybe one reason they targeted Williams

Saleh increased his rate of using blitzes and dogs to get pressure with the Jets

Plus we need it with our poor pass rush (outside of Bosa) and soft deep secondary

I'm glad he did. One thing i liked more about DR was that he was quicker to dial up some pressures. Gotta get off the field on 3rd downs this year. Last 2 years have been dreadful on 3rd downs

going to be a trying start to the year. the IDL and S spots are a bit of a mess right now. it may be a play the kids and hope they round into form over the season approach.
