Sheer Genius! I don't think Harbaugh would have adjusted to the new rules as Kyle is doing so right now. He'd use the rules to get offsides and stuff, but I don't think his passing offense is sophisticated enough to morph into the best version for the current rules.

The same way Harbaugh adjusted and created a new offense from Alex Smith to Kap.....
Now Harbaugh on 4th and 1 with the same play over and over, bring in the extra lineman, is a different conversation : )

That's shows the respect and fear that coaches have. They need to study so much because every play looks the same from the line of scrimmage. They don't know what's coming at 'em.

The longest-tenured coach in 49ers history? Bill Walsh with 10 years.

Kyle you've got 10 more years to beat that record. I'd start off by making the playoffs by the end of the decade.

Seifert cruised on his 1st SB with a loaded, all vet roster. He did an amazing underrated job in 94. Must mentioned the elder Shanahan on offensive side also. A lot of talent doesn't necessarily give you a SB. But George pulled them all together. Very underrated.

If Kyle can win #6, he would be the only other HC besides Walsh to take a very poor roster, rebuild and win a SB. If he can win it within 5years or sooner, I have to put him at #2.

Maintaining a consistent winning record in today's NFL where parity/mediocrity is valued over long-term success, is very difficult. Love him or hate him, Tom Brady notwithstanding, Bill Belichick's record demands he be considered among the top two or three coaches ever for being able put together such a consistent winning history.

If Kyle, with Lynch's help, can come anywhere close to that conversation in the next 6-8 years, he will deserve a statue.

Seifert should also get credit for adjusting his defensive scheme once Sanders arrived. Before Sanders Seifert ran, in the words of Eric Davis, "an extremely complex defense" and once they got Sanders he adjusted a lot of things and tailored his defense around the personnel.
