He fired Harbaugh because he was driving everyone in the building crazy, he's a good coach but also bats**t crazy. His schtick wears off after awhile, and seeing as how we went 8-8 in his last year it was an easy call.
Please don't put Jim's record out there to justify anything.
We know the s**t Baalke was bringing thru the doors.
Plain and simple, Jed's ego got the best of him.
Happens to a lot of spoon fed kids.
No need to spin it any other way.
Let's just accept it for what it is and move on.

Thank you!! He was offered an extension which he turned down at the same time Michigan had already made it clear that Harbaugh was there guy. I don't know why people don't understand this. I guess it's better for them to blame someone rather then accept the truth.

There was talk about him getting fired long before the season finished, which may have even played into why they finished 8-8.

Why are we rehashing the Harbaugh thing again? Every one of them - Harbaugh, Baalke, York - contributed some ingredients to the split. It just wasn't a sustainable fit.
This thread is about Shanahan.

Any who... it's clear Kyle wants to get the run game going along with protecting Jimmy. Because having a run game can stay the D's pass rush when they worry about guys gashing them in the run game.

Yes, as much as I hate to admit it, the firing of Harbaugh was inevitable. He is nuts. But Baalke was a Bill Parcell's guy...see power linemen and it doesn't matter if they get the QB killed. That seemed to fit Harbaugh so it didn't matter. Now we see WCO returning and I am so darned happy! And I would put Lynch/Shanahan's IQs against Baalke/Harbaugh any day of the week!
Jed may have finally done this right! Fingers crossed!

I'm re-watching a lot of the 2017 games and it's so nice seeing multiple formations and a fullback on offense. Chip's playbook must be 1/5 the size of Kyle's. I'm trying to put together a bunch of cutups on how Kyle busts certain coverages that don't involve cookie cutter route concepts.

Sorry if this has already been posted, but entering year 2, and with the addition of McKinnon, find it that much more interesting.

seriously, if we had to endure these last painful years to get kyle & john, then so be it, it was probably worth it
