He left for promotions for 2 of those gigs. Stanford went 8-5 year 3 then 12-1 year 4.

Uh huh. Well he left the NFL as a HC and had to go back to college football , and is on thin ice there too. What promotions will he get from those? Can you imagine him getting a FO job? I can't.

He's not on thin ice at UM just yet (see his contract) that's just in your head and he'd easily have a job in the NFL and that's why every media outlet keeps bringing up his name.

But back to Shanny

I'd be willing to put down money that the Raiders reached out to Harbaugh and would have happily hired him over Gruden considering his relationship with the Davis family and having such recent NFLl success.

And back to Shanny we go.
Makes me wonder if Shanny knows very well how to attack a Wade Phillips defense. I think he does, and was salivating to attack it with Jimmy the last game with their starters. The whole Shanahan clan should be very familiar with Wade Phillips since the Broncos days.

Can't wait for next years Niners vs Rams games

That's what good QBs do. Shanahan and his staff come up with the game plan and Jimmy executed it. Schemed guys that have been open all year long and actually gets them the ball.

Young said it best. An orchestrator on the field. Coaches can draw it up, scheme it, but they still need someone competent on the field to orchestrate.

It still amazes me Jimmy picked up the offense (even if it was half the playbook) in a month and was efficient where it took Ryan a whole year. Not saying he'd be MVP next year or anything, but it's a nice thought lol

He did put up 39 (I think?) in their first meeting...and that was with Hoyer.

He didn't really. His understanding of defenses is what is getting him by. He said on a few occasions, he forgets the play when he gets under center but knows what at least one WR is running so he throws to that guy no matter what. But the good thing is that he is also able to move the defense to setup his throws better.

And his throwing talent is also allowing him to read and then throw into tighter windows.

I'd imagine so. He went from 4-5 word play calls to having to recite an entire sentence lol. I read somewhere his TEs helped him out a lot on calls, so kudos to them.
Kyle had did not have a legit QB starting and we lost 5 games within 3 points. Then the injuries started to accumulate and we just couldn't sustain it. Then our rookies started to get comfortable and we started getting better. Then JG came.
