Yep I think his order of Priorities on that drive was

1. Run out the clock so Rams don't get the ball back before the half with enough time to do anything.
2. Get a FG
3. Get a TD

He was going to sacrifice the higher priorities to get the lower ones. He knew we were getting the ball back after the half.

If the rams game is an indicator coach is elevating his game.. I loved the utilization of black, play calling was solid and positioned his team to win. They executed well and won, nothing more can be expected from a hc.

I mean yeah you want to make sure the other team doesn't get the ball back, sure a TD is always great but you want to run the clock down as far as possible and it's the right call

Gotta agree with this.

I think Reid and Shanny are the smartest and best coaches in the NFL, very bright minds with Shanny being the more innovative of the two. Shanny gets too comfortable with some of his routines sometimes, clock management can be a challenge at times and can get deer in the headlightsy in the SBs. I think he overthinks in the SBs and just needs to dial it back to what he does best, which is dominate with confidence.

He knows how to win and does it. He has finesse without question. But he seems to be overwhelmed/over thinking some in the SBs. He's gotta win one eventually, he's too good not to. Maybe this is the year?

Reid - product of BW and still needs Mahomes to run around to execute broken plays

Payton - adopted the WC offense by stealing all of BW tapes from the 49ers.. now he's stuck

McVay - Product of Shanahan and now is trying to create his own stupid 13 offense which removes your best players off the field

Yea, let's just skip that all 3 are Super Bowl champs. Shanahan's the REAL winner on that list 😂

These coaches are all great in their own right. ... Interesting that Andy Reid did not win his first ring until his 21st year as a head coach.

Also, interesting that it's been 16 years since Payton won a ring.

Yet Shanny, in his tenth year, is held to a different standard for circumstances largely outside of his control.

Right? ... I would not trade Kyle for anybody. ... I wanted Mike as HC in the 90's; we didn't replace his offensive genius until Kyle arrived.

It's only a matter of time before Kyle gets his first ring and this year looks incredibly promising in that regard.
