How many 46-year-olds do you know? I bet 9/10 of them look at their phone, or look down to change the radio, or look away to read a billboard, etc. every day they drive. People know they shouldn't, but they do anyway. Why? Because 99.9999999% of the time nothing happens. When something does happen it can be life altering, but people don't have actual good application of risk/reward scenarios, otherwise there would probably be a lower number than the 100 people dying in car accidents every day in this country.

I don't see what part of Kyle being a 10-year NFL HC makes him a better than average car driver. Those skill sets are rather mutually exclusive.

You do NOT take your eyes off the road and bend down, especially as you come to an intersection. (Different scenario) You don't do it when you are also close behind to someone. There are many scenarios where (and it's not even about being perfect) self preservation tells you I shouldn't do that, or hell stops you out right.

As far as what does a 10 year NFL HC have to do with it? Because over those 10 years I'm sure he has told his players to be careful when on the road. Especially after each time a NFL player crashes their car or kills someone.

I'm a 43 yr old adult who commutes 3hrs a day for my job. I have dropped my phone on the floor and picked it up multiple times….I have used my phone while driving, any normal person would say they have done the same thing….if you say you haven't you're lying.

Just because you don't like someone doesn't mean whatever they do is wrong or nefarious….the fact that you're TRYING to make it the worst possible scenario even though that scenario isn't even some horrible thing is kinda ridiculous.

The scenario wasn't "the worse possible thing" because no one was killed. Do you know the Santa Clara area? Do you know how many people have been killed by getting hit by a car there? Let's just say someone was jaywalking, and Kyle hit them. Kyle would have been in much bigger trouble. Even if the pedestrian was in the wrong for jaywalking, Kyle would still be in trouble for his actions.

And same for youself. Driving 3hrs per day. I would bet you get exhausted as well. Yet you still take the chance because "hey everyone does it". Who's really the one acting like they are perfect here again? I'm a cautious driver because I know I'm not perfect. I f**king signal in parking lots even if there are no cars in the vicinity, just out of habit of signaling on the roads and highways. It's a good habit to have.

But yes of course I've reached down to get my phone when I was young. Before Bluetooth in cars were a thing. And I remember thinking HOLY S**T why the f**k did I just do that. I believe I was at a stop light behind someone, and even though I had my foot on the brakes... for some reason as I reached down, my foot let up and the car creeped forward and I almost shat myself because the b******t I would have to go through from even bumping someone from behind (back then). I took that moment serious going forward. I can't imagine doing something like that while driving into an intersection or freeway.

So yes when I was young, when cellphones (and plans) started getting more affordable. I didn't have someone to tell me, be careful this can happen because of a cellphone. So I would HOPE any young person reading this right now, doesn't get the impression just because you're young...you're allowed to make mistakes. You're only allowed to make mistakes, if there is no tragic outcome.

Here we go making stuff up again because you don't have all the facts. Kyle himself said the police report says he was at fault but the database was wrong. So it was a clerical error.

I live in SC and drive down the same street Kyle had his accident. You don't need to drop your phone to get in accident down that street lol.

When I drop or my phone falls or anything falls down by legs from where I placed it, I pick it up. Due to thinking that it may even get caught underneath the pedals

but as for Af's faking he such a responsible driver, I don't buy it one bit. The way his scatter brain off the wall post doesn't fit with the cool, calm collected driver he says he is. lol
