We should give Kudos to Kyle showing up a month after a severe car crash that likely made him both mentally and physically disfigured for training camp seems to just be the 49ers mantra at this point. Hopefully the players rally behind him

For sure was not
You can break ribs from a seat belt and break your hand holding the steering wheel. You can also split your face on the left side window or be hit by something flying around the car cabin. It is possible he was not wearing a seat belt and it is possible he was. Speculation really gets you nowhere in this case.

You can also sustain facial injuries from an airbag and having glasses on. Little kids in front seats have had their necks snapped when parents hit curbs in parking lots.
We don't know so it's probably a combination of things. The good news is he should recover and the assistant coaches can take the players through the conditioning part of TC. There's no play installation going in yet anyway.

I'm pretty sure they knew. But our local media have a different relationship with this current 9er regime, compared to other local media and their relationship with their teams. Like say New York or Philly.

The players knew about it. The only thing that puzzles me is I assume he wasn't there at the start of camp when rookies reported last week. Weren't the beat writers asking where he was? Seems like someone would have been wondering about his absence.
