You can count on this pattern almost every year in the draft.
Wide receiver is a massive position of need. JJ was their best with 650 yards receiving and he is gone.
Meh not this season so it's not massive. Ricky, Evans, Robinson and Kirk with young talent like Cowing.
Pearsall is Mr Glass, he gets up limping after every catch and is never available. Those othet dudes all suck. Bourne was our second most productive WR.

Kyle is an amazing coach, I'm sticking with that, but we need someone to strap him to a chair and tape his mouth shut on draft day.
Yea, Kyle's an amazing offensive mind. Needs to be paired with a strong GM who specializes in player evaluation and talent acquisition.
Lynch is great at public speaking and free agent talent acquisition, he started out great at drafting in the mid and late rounds but it looks like that magic is fading fast.

Doesn't value the secondary at all. It's crazy.
Kilgore at 107 should be such a no brainer pick but I just know they'll pass for a tight end.

If I'm not mistaken, there's still one or two cover safeties who can do better than what we have right now still in the draft... I doubt we snag one in the 4th round. I'll wait for Shnanny / Glynch to prove me wrong. I won't hold my breath tho

As far as I know, the assistant coaches have a big role in player evaluations. They just lost a ton of defensive coaches this offseason. That could be one reason of the so called strange reach picks. Raheem Morris, Matt Eberflus, and Jerry Gray are all brand new and may not have the cajones to challenge Kyle's player evaluations.

Yup, I hear you. However, they did bring in FAs to compete in camp. They might not pan out, but at least they tried... they don't even try to help out the safety spot. Brown (top 5 in his mind / a legend in his own mind) can't cover himself with a blanket on a cold day. MM is all gas no brakes and misses 100 tackles. F those dudes. Sigle got benched. Who do we have![]()
It's sad AF!

That may be true, but that's Lynch's job. Kyle makes decisions in the draft room, but he should only be allowed to give opinions.

Good point. Kyle had to be literally forced to do the CMC trade by both John and Jed. So I agree - in the early rounds, he needs to maybe step back a bit more than even than in the later rounds.
I'm just happy we got a good OLine pick. That gives Purdy a fighting chance to stay alive this upcoming season.
