good job of you for exuding patience and exhibiting a common sense of understanding the situation that Shanahan came into. Good fan.

simple. wrong.

It's amazing what a QB can do to a team that apparently has a 'crappy offense'. it's almost as if the lack of a decent QB was the reason, not the HC or play-calling. Lol. It's amazing how fans couldn't see the difference in situations between Shanny and McVay in that Rams game. And we scored almost 40 points even still. It's like pessimistic fans are incapable of 0 foresight and perspective.

it's amazing to think that when Shanahan has a good QB, like in Atlanta, his offense thrives.

but when he doesn't have a competent QB, his offense is trash.

lol, some fans.

there are still major concerns with this team and just because jimmy has arrived and has made alot of things better., does not mean we are over some hump. the legit concerns some have are still there..i understand it makes you feel good and giddy and you must have alot of time on your hands to rehash posts which at the time were legit concerns fans had.

You are correct, the 49ers are not over the hump yet. But damn, having Jimmy G. has decreased the rebuilding process by 2-3 years!!! Give Lynch and Shanahan one more off season then watch out!!!

ccnostradamus? Lol

Jimmy can have a solid game still. Also, I know the Zone hates Hyde, but can a brotha get some damn blocking? Like ever. I hope the o line can get it together

Shoot I don't hate Hyde, not at all. Anyone can see he has no running lanes to work with, not even Barry Sanders could run with this line. If Hyde sticks around he'll see a new O-line.....no doubt!!!

Yes, sir. Hyde isn't elite, but he is a solid, physical runner. he can also pick up blitzes (can get better), and pass catch well. one year deal for 2 million next year.

i should have said.. i do understand our run game is connected to the awful o line we have.. i just hope this weekend vs an elite defense. hyde can find some creases like gore used to do with ease and take some pressure off jimmy.

i agree.. i trust they know what the concerns are and i trust and hope that if the season ended today,.. they will know exactly who stays. who goes. who they go after in the draft and who they target in free agency. it must be o line., secondary. linebackers pass rusher. wide out in that order in my opinion. it is amazing that jimmy has suddenly led to our guys catching the ball.. he can cover up our bad o line but again. it is just a band aid and we just have to get through this year
So that 5 year's leash just became 2 with Jimmy on the team, right?

there were never any legit concerns about Shanahan. Fans with common sense knew the situation he entered was different than Atlanta and would take time. We all knew what Shanahan's offense was capable of.

I loved the run calls by Kyle to blunt the LeBeau blitz packages. It effectively preserved Jimmy's body for the future. I love Hyde as a running back because he has very good straight line power and can break a lot of tackles. I just think Kyle's offense will be more explosive with a guy who has more speed and agility. Pair a guy like Joe Williams with Hyde and you just might have Franco Harris and Rocky Blier. Thunder and Lightning. If Joe can get over whatever IR'ed him, next year watch out! With better blockers and Hyde and hopefully Williams, I can see this offense being top 5 in the NFL, even if we don't draft another WR this next offseason cycle.

i do not think joe williams will be on this team next year. i think they need to find a fourth round rookie

I also think it's worth noting that the situation is not only different from Atlanta, but also the Rams. I can't stand how many fans keep crying that we should have hired McVay instead of Shanahan all because of W-L results from one season with completely different rosters, one that was clearly superior and actually had some foundation coming in.

Shanahan's situation is NOTHING similar to McVay's. They were both hired as HC's this past offseason. That is where the similarities end.
Three wins in a row. Thats what I call improvement.
