49ers Head Coach Kyle Shanahan Thread

Imagine having a 16-point lead and the ball with under 9 minutes remaining in arguably your most important game in awhile and then blowing it.

80% of this board would be screeching for Kyle to be fired if he did this, and talking about how they wished they had every other coach besides him.

But because it happened to a certain somebody that this board seems to love so much, it's "oh it's okay hehe everyone makes mistakes! Sometimes your opponent just gets lucky! Still a billion times better than Kyle "Genius" Fraud-ahan!"

Took accountability for him being a dumbass but pointed out he's a kid and they're going to prop him up, educate him and support him while also mentioning the good he did in the game. It was really impressive stuff.

Having said that...I can only imagine what kind of garbage would be flung Shanahan's way if we blew a game like that.

You absolutely hit the nail on the head with your opening sentence.

Normally I wouldn't care THAT much because we didn't even play, but there was so much Rams worshipping on this board it was absolutely embarrassing. The vocal crowd on here was crowning them champions already last month just because they blew out a Bucs team that is clearly falling apart after their bye and a completely different team from before their bye. I even read one post that said "why isn't the media giving the Rams enough credit??" like are you f'ing kidding me?? They're a LOS ANGELES TEAM and they're in the top 3 of every single power ranking they ALREADY get a ton of publicity!

Heck they were just crowning them on Sunday for beating the Lions.

Interesting that these McVay worshippers are so quiet after last night. They only ever have anything to say at all on here when the Rams have a good game.

exciting times!

Have a feeling IF we win those two, we may have another Sunday Night Football in our future.

Unfortunately I doubt it. I hate to give them credit but they're easily the best team in the NFL right now. Stafford playing at an elite level. The only thing that will stop them is simply having a crazy game go against them(reminder to some...no matter how good you are as a coach, team - the refs can make a difference between a win and a loss) or dealing with injuries that we've had to deal with...

As far as our team goes - with the HC getting bashed in here weekly win or lose, we have a chance to win EVERY game. Even in the 2nd Rams game where we were missing so many people we managed to get that game to one possession and we had some really poor officiating go our way in that one too.

Our coaching is a major strength and with that, you have a chance to win every game. We just need to avoid any further injuries, play smart football and ensure that when the coaches put our guys into position to succeed or to make plays that the players step up.

That includes Brock making the right reads/throws. Receivers catching the balls that they're in position to grab. Keep penalties in check, especially on key downs so they can't hurt you too bad.

That includes defenders playing within the scheme and not freelancing and when they're in position to get a pick, force a fumble, recover a fumble - do it.

We know this defense has holes cuz of the key injuries we have. They have to become one of those defenses that create turnovers to win.

Up 30-14 with 8mins left? To basically get a 1 seed? Epic choke job according to folks in here

Not a SB so it doesn't count. Those are the rules.

Once again...imagine trying to call out fans of the HC of the team you're supposedly a fan of.

How about we don't "crown" anyone until we get a SB winner. Just to clarify, the debate is who is a better coach. Given that McVay has had a more successful head coaching career than Kyle (regardless of talent, weather, injuries, refs, Goodell, etc), I think most fans and NFL pundits outside Kyle's fan club would agree that McVay is the better coach. If his team wins a SB this year, that just cements the narrative agreed upon in most circles. If Kyle can win a SB with this current roster, then I'm sure even 'naysayers' like myself will concede and the entire debate surrounding Kyle will become moot.

The issue is that Kyle HAS done it…..multiple times….in more important games. So there's that to consider…

Ok. Give me one example of someone celebrating losing the SB as a crowning achievement. I'm tired of you spamming the board with this garbage. If you can find it then you can keep going.

If you can't then you take a break. How's that sound?

DrEll,

I'm still waiting.

...Still waiting. Seems like you keep missing this one somehow.

There were ABSOLUTELY 100% people on this board crowning them during/after that Rams/Bucs game last month. I distinctly and fully remember it and didn't forget because it was so egregious. You very well could've been one of them. I can check the receipts
