I will be (and have been) extremely disappointed when they lost the SB. I will not start calling for John, Kyle, Brock, etc head for losing. If things are binary 1's and 0's and you only get pleasure if they win and damn everything else if they lose, then have fun with that. More times in life than not, we lose. Not just with football. I've blocked several people like that on this forum. Like many have stated, there are franchises and hundreds of thousands of fans that dream to have the Niners success as of late.
Real good thoughts here Silky.
I live (actually work) in another NFL city. Never has it seen a Super Bowl victory. I believe the fans and die-hards here would give anything to have even
a fifth of the Beethoven that the 49ers, in all their storied lore, have played.
Perhaps a change in perspective comes with age. It sure has with me. My favorite college team has had similar success, on that level.
Now, when they don't win it all, or lose to some much lesser program, I can actually appreciate the JOY those "lesser" programs show when they take down
the "used-to-be king."
We can't all be alike. I just hope no one's missing out on the more important things in their life by placing too much importance on how and what this team, or any team, does or does not achieve.
