Bryce Young was a prime example of this. He threw for 450 yards last week.

Nobody considers Bryce Young to be good though. He's been one of the worst QB's in the league in his time as a starter.

When they beat Sanders and ward in the next two games and go 10-4 the fan base will br screaming superbowl.

I think that's what's most frustrating about the way this year has turned. The niners have one of the easiest schedules I've seen in a long time. They should have had the first seed in the nfc. They had the superbowl at Levi's. Just so disapointing.

They did need to transition though, especially on defense. It's unfortunate that our key stars got hurt, though I still think a SB would have been a long shot anyway.

We pulled back on spending. You have to understand that's not a decision Kyle made, and the guys who drove that decision aren't going anywhere.

What are you talking about seriously?
Nobody is talking about Superbowl on this forum with Fred and Nick injured. Everybody with a normal brain is just thinking about the next game.
And even if that was the case, who are you to make fun of people rooting for their team?

We make fun of cowboys fans all the time for thinking their mediocre team is going to the superbowl every season. We have the same type of fans. I've been jaded so many times over the last 30 years with this team that every year I expect disappointment.

You can't be serious. I have yet to see a single fan, on this board or elsewhere, who believes this team is going to a Super Bowl without Fred and Nick.

Who cares if they do anyway? We're on a 49ers fan message board. If you want a more objective look at things, this isn't necessarily the best place for it, at least generally.

I want to be on the record, that if we make the playoffs we make it to at least the NFC champ game.

Except the difference is the Cowboys haven't made a conference championship game since 1995, say what you want about the Niners choke jobs in big games, they've at least been in them for the last 15 years.

Also nobody thinks this team is going anywhere near the SB without Bosa or Fred

Nice self own.

All of your hatred and anger basically stems from the unrealistic expectations you yourself set.

Of course if you go to the other 31 messageboards if the topic of Kyle Shanahan came up there'd be 31 fanbases giving the guy credit for an excellent coaching job this year. Not here though for half a dozen fans.

And if they did that Cortez would still blame Kyle for not winning it no matter what happened. Somehow the 9ers would suddenly be the most talented team in the league and he choked it away,

I'm always gonna hold out hope, I mean anything can happen in the playoffs. This defense though...

The scenario that sees us getting to the NFCCG probably involves the secondary finally gelling by the end of the season, a slightly improved pass rush via witchcraft and answered prayers, a finally healthy Purdy, and a healthy in-rhythm offense. Then we just need a few lucky breaks and to catch the right teams at the right time.

If all of that happened, maybe we could even have the refs on our side.
