You would think you'd be avoiding this thread like the plague given your track record in it...imagine coming in here and that's your takeaway.
Cuz i'm sure had Kyle drawn up a pass play and it resulted in a safety or incompletion to stop the clock you wouldn't be in here saying what an idiot Kyle is for not trying to run the clock out.
Can't ban people because they don't agree with your takes. That's not how the rules work around here.
Not threatening to ban you lol. Just saying your post looks absolutely idiotic when you're trying to dunk on Kyle for having the team 4-1, 3-0 in the division with all of these major injuries and the coaching job he did last night.

We've seen this story before. If the Rams didn't self implode last night, the spotlight would have been all over Kyle having the ball with a minute left and not giving his offense a chance to finish it at the end.

He was trying to get room.
What would you have said if we gave up a safety there.

I wish we could look through another timeline where Kyle was never talked into Trey Lance(who was Adam Peter's guy). Mac Jones was always going to work in this offense. I'm sure Shanny feels vindicated now. Just curious how everything would've turned out.

How about never trading up to 3 and then taking him! I was in favor of that move...just didn't think Mac was worth 3rd overall and that trade up. The draft proved that to be true...unfortunately also proved Trey wasn't worth it even less.

Great game by him, but I said it last night.... After that fumble he did three bs runs because he did not trust his o-line with Mac in the end zone. If he had any faith in the line he would have gone for a first down there.
that is highly plausible...
The 49ers were also burning timeouts last night because people could not line up in the right spots... I think they only had 1 maybe 2 time outs left by that point.
A "thinker" is going to weight the upside vs downside.
Lot's of bad things could have happened if a mistake ridden team made a mistake in that situation, and they had very few ways to stop the clock and get another chance on offense in that situation.
Nah...they had to make the Rams use their timeouts, and they had few timeouts to risk overcoming a safety.... they really really need to negate giving up a sack or a hold in the endzone.
It all does tie in. To be fair I think they did well mistake wise given how many guys were backups etc. Prior years we could still get 4-5 yards on a run even when the defense knew it was coming, now we are being forced to a short passing game to move the ball. In the end we got the W and so far seem to have avoided any new major injuries... I will take that.

You're off your rocker when it comes to Kyle. The 49ers should've never been in this game with all their injuries. Kyle had the team prepared and called a master class. If anyone would've bashed him for those moves it would be people like you who are bashing him for a move which ended up getting us a win.
Pretty sure you complained about him not running the ball plenty of times before and not working the clock. He improved his chances to win the game and lowered the risk factor that would virtually guarantee a loss. Had they thrown for it given their receiving options a 3rd and long in that situation is a tough ask. You're more likely to get an incompletion, safety or turnover throwing there. Had the clock stopped there, Rams would have 2 timeouts at the end of their ensuing drive. They would have at least one more try at a TD as a result.

How often do 4-1 teams miss the playoffs? .500 football (6-6) from this point forward should get us there, right? The only 10-7 team to ever miss the playoffs (since 17-game schedules became a thing in 2021) were last year's Seahawks and being very mediocre in the NFC (6-6) was why they missed it. Our only loss is to an AFC team.

Cope.
I'm sorry for your difficult loss last night.

Also, I do agree that Kyle should've thrown it on 3rd and 8 to end the game! But lmao at people saying that's why he should be fired 😂

The way the Rams were moving the ball on us, potentially giving them a timeout (or two) was a dangerous proposition. Kyle made the correct decision because in the end it worked out. I'm sure if you were to look at the analytics, his decision to take all their timeouts probably generated the highest win potential, and if it wasn't the highest, it was probably neck and neck with the alternative.

Well it would have ended worse than the reality because they probably wouldn't have drafted Purdy.
Good luck going to the Superbowl with our wonderful O-Line two years ago with Mac.
Purdy being able to scramble won the games against the Packers and the Lions.
I'm not saying Mac is bad, on the contrary he's a good QB. But I have a hard time thinking you can win 3 or 4 PO games with a non mobile QB in today's NFL.

So the 49ers wouldn't have made it to the SB with Mac? I think I may prefer that timeline.
