This is pretty much it.
We have so many people who want bash the players for their performance and talk about Shanahan not adapting.
Guess what these moves are doing? They're forcing him to adapt and they're stripping off players who under performed.
Greenlaw is the only stud in the group who we didn't really have a great fallback plan on.
I will say the Collins release surprised me but I think that and the Floyd cut shows the team is looking to bring in guys who can stop the run, which may not be a bad idea given the top competition in the NFC runs the hell out of the ball.
I don't like that we're putting so much into the draft BUT given our needs this is the draft to do that with I guess. Just have to nail the picks!
Personally I felt that the team despite the injuries got a little complacent. It felt like they expected to coast into the playoffs last year and then get their reinforcements from Dre and CMC and make a run...then it never happened and we got more injuries on top of it. Getting hungry players in here is not a bad thing.
I think a lot of the team figured the playoffs were a birthright and they could turn it on when it was time. After every loss it was, "we have the right guys." But week after week, they couldn't pull it off.
I love that we are putting so much into the draft. The team is forcing themselves to hit. They have to come away with a DE, NT, 3T, LB, deep safety, guard, and center. And because there is so much Dline talent it's entirely possible.

Aaron Rodgers expected to take over Kyle Shanahan as 49ers HC role, turns down Steelers and Giants
While Kyle Shanahan is safe for the 2025 NFL season, there is a real chance that his future in 2026 is not," Marissa Myers noted. "With that in mind, it presents the perfect opportunity for Rodgers to take the next step in his career, and enter the realm of coaching." (via: Sporting News)

Was she paid to write that? Like seriously. Can you write things like that and be paid to do it?
