Kyle is 1-3 vs the AFC North this season, that division is tough.

41 yard FG away from being 2-2 and already have homefield locked up.

And that still bums me out.... yes we would have had the 1 seed locked.

He's really been bad against the AFC North and top tier defenses.

So the multiple plays that could've been TDs vs Cleveland with proper blocking we're just bad calls huh?

Don't forget Aiyuks drop & Purdy overthrowing a wide open CMC both likely walk in TDs,if they had executed they would've rolled Cleveland.

We had multiple injuries in that game. Key ones too. Despite it all we drove the field for a game winning FG. The rookie FG kicker missed it.

Right. When the 9ers lose it's almost exclusively bad execution. Other teams players get paid too.

Need to execute at a high level in the playoffs.

Got to hope we don't face the AFC North in the Superbowl. They are our kryptonite.

No they're not. Just gotta believe Kyle will win round 2. I refuse to sit here and say any team is better than us when we are at our best. Our best versus anyone else's best...I'll take us. In 2019 I felt the same way except for...the Chiefs. I was worried about them. Mahomes was awesome that year and also fit the NFLs agenda

Agreed hopefully they execute at a high level from here on out.

Yeah, we were literally one play away in both Cleveland and Minnesota.

Cincy and Baltimore spanked us, it is what it is.

Ultimately it comes down to us playing our best ball. Even in some of our wins, we haven't been super consistent with that.

Man, looking at the Chiefs, in their last two Super Bowl winning years, they didn't have a single loss by more than one score. Those teams both could've gone undefeated they were so good.

My hope is that a fully developed, prime Brock Purdy turns this team into that kind of a threat every year too. I hope he gets his first Super Bowl faster than Mahomes (who got it in his third year).

I just heard Cosell talking about the game. He pointed out that the Niners actually moved the ball very well in the first half. They were on pace to gain 500 yards against the best D in the league even with the turnovers. He also pointed out that Purdy still made some good throws and played well other than the turnovers. If those 2 tipped passes go incomplete instead of getting plucked out of the air the game could have been much closer. You can't take those INTs away but it's not like Brock was throwing bad passes all day. Even the first one was right on target. Hamilton just made a good play.

Bottom line is Kyle's game plan was fine. It was a couple of bad bounces (or good plays by the Ravens) that turned the game around at the start of the 3rd quarter. Once that happened the Niners were in a deep hole and couldn't run as much. That put Brock in a difficult position against the leagues best pass rush.

This is a very good post.

Agree and Also ill just add that Arik was out and some other injuries going into the game weakened that 49er defense and offense. Jauan was out, as an example of injuries on offense.

Perfect post, couldn't agree more.

Now the Chiefs are no longer as dangerous. I'd be open to battling the 2019 Chiefs again with this current squad, but no way that squad is worse than the current team.

People forget how awful the officiating that game was. Defense had the Browns stopped late just for a bs holding call to keep Cleveland alive. NFL should be ashamed of themselves, but they're too busy rolling around in money to give a damn about integrity .
