So the multiple plays that could've been TDs vs Cleveland with proper blocking we're just bad calls huh?

I just think the Ravens are a bad matchup for us. To handle our offense you need to have elite players at all 4 stages of your defense. Dline, Linebackers, Corners, and safeties. The Ravens have that. Also the Browns. And go figure they are really the only two defenses that gave our offense problems. Yes I know some will say we struggled vs the Vikings but I think that had more to do with our injuries. With the Bengals our offense moved the ball but it didn't get many opportunities because our defense couldn't get off the field.

Just in general, any defense with very good/very great linebackers are a bad matchup for Kyle's offense. He targets that area between the Linebackers and DB's, and if the linebackers are good, those windows to that area are much smaller. For example a play fake, even if executed correctly, those linebackers close those windows VERY fast and can result in a lot of pass knockdowns and - possible turnovers. Specially when the DB's are good and know that the defensive front seven has the run secured and they can just drop back and play zone or have a good cushion on man to man.

The correct game plan to deal with defenses with fast linebackers is to account for them, their speed and athleticism, and make sure they aren't comfortable in their reads. Make them hesitate against the pass by running at them.
Thought this was kind of an interesting clip of Kyle talking about Brock and, sort of indirectly I think, Lance and the difficulty of developing players in the NFL.

I think you're right.

Keep in mind that maybe an underrated part of the Garoppolo era was a lot less risk taking and our overall team did just enough to win most games. We only lost to the Ravens in Baltimore on a last second field goal, four years ago.

With Brock, we have more ability to be explosive, but also to get into trouble. So for these super elite defenses, just need to bring a more "Jimmy G" type game plan, with some designated shot plays and other sprinkles to not completely resemble that style of ball either, lol.
Agree, and as posted earlier, when opponent's DL is crashing in on Brock with no time to throw , it would have been a good time for kyle to call for throws underneath that can be bam, bam and gone….otherwise known as dink and dunk. Having top flite LBs and DBs also made those deeper middle of field throws that kyle and Brock like so well…be given a rest for that game.

I'm so confident that if we play them again, Purdy's not going to have a bad game. I don't like saying this, but I really feel the Ravens loss was more of the 49ers playing poorly, rather than the Ravens beating us. When we turned the ball over like we did, the entire team just kind of lost their poise and were frustrated.

Hopefully we see them again in the Super Bowl so we can avenge that loss.

Weren't there fans that wanted him fired early in the Commanders game?

lol
Has this guy been fired yet.
Well, glad to see that Kyle finally got what he has apparently been angling for this year, an injured CMC going into the last week of the season. McCaffrey had almost all of the touches in that first drive, aggravated his calf injury at some point which led to Mitchell coming in and, lo and behold, the skies didn't fall. Mitchell looked a lot like he did as a rookie and demonstrated that yes, there are options to having McCaffrey be the workhorse all the time. Now I know Mitchell has a hard time staying healthy and Mason I guess has been sick this week, but they are both viable options in the backfield for more than the handful of touches they have managed to get this year.

to me the challenge is there's no developmental league, so guys have to come in pretty high floor, ready to contribute. Floor is underrated, and ceiling is overrated.
