Does Kyle go with Reid in strategizing *no more fullback* and is that why he drafted TWO tight ends in this draft cycle?
Among the many changes to NFL offenses over recent decades has been the long, slow decline of the fullback position. Chiefs coach Andy Reid recognizes that.
The Chiefs let fullback Michael Burton leave for the Broncos in free agency this offseason, and Reid said the Chiefs won't be bringing in a fullback to replace him. An extra tight end would be more likely to take up the fullback's roster spot.

If the league is moving away from fullbacks, which has already been happening, I hope the 49ers stay with a fullback. Why be like other teams?
Or, be able to do both.
Versatility has always been Kyle's mode of operation. I agree about the *both* option. Also Juszczyk is aging, he's 32 which is old for a running back/fullback. I think Kyle wants more of a receiving threat on that position considering
CMC and Deebo also both are runners and receivers and you have Brock who's a great passer. I think the two TE's being drafted is simply expanding the H-Back/Offensive Weapon position to better adjust to potentially a great passer in Brock. On third and shorts, you can always insert an extra offensive lineman at the FB position to add run blocking power instead of a FB. On passing situations, a TE is - usually - is a better receiver than a true fullback (who is traditionally more of a blocker than a receiver). Juszczk is both a great receiver and a good runner. Kyle, I think, is trying to find Juszczk 2.0 - in a sense - as well as augmenting the short yardage passing attack specifically for Purdy's great short range accuracy talent.
