IDGAF what the odds say. What question do we have at QB? Its quite simple. We have Trey Lance and Brock Purdy. Not really question marks. We also have the #1 defense, the best 5 weapons in the NFL and an O line that will be even better than this past season. You want to be a pessimist, that is your prerogative. Nothing I have seen tells me this team is about to take a nose dive.
What question do we have at QB ? Don't be naive. We still don't have a QB
There is no way to have the #1 defense for next year when next year has even started. Plus we have 12 URFA players on defense, 7 of those being starters or have started for us
25 total FA
Offensive weapons need a QB.. we all seen how this offense runs without a QB
it's not about being pessimistic, it's just looking at reality.
I get it. You are a pessimist. Its all good. I will continue to believe in this team and you can continue to doubt them. Brock Purdy showed enough to know that we have a QB. Your pessimistic mentality falsely tells you otherwise. We had the #1 defense and there really isn't any reason to believe that they are going to fall off a cliff anytime soon. Again, you can continue to doubt them without any real reason to do so. That is your prerogative.
I think 2 QBs both injured at present are legit question marks it's being realistic as he mentioned, that's all there is to it. These dudes have 9 starts between them which is like half of one regular season.. Lot of range of outcomes, good and bad, hard to say for sure what we got.
Reality/perception is in the eye of the beholder. If all you think is negative than all you see is negative and all you experience is negative. Reality is all subjective. There is no such thing as a concrete reality. So like I said, if you choose to be a pessimist, that is your prerogative. Brock Purdy elevated Kyle's offense like we haven't seen since 2016. Dude was adapting and learning in game. If you are too blind by pessimism to see that, that is on you.
stop.. come back to reality bud. You have no idea how the future is going to unfold. so stop acting like you do.
And there is concrete reality.. example... the glass is half full and half empty... The concrete reality is that glass is not going to get filled and not going to get emptied no matter how you feel about it.
Neither do you. We can choose to have a positive outlook on the state of the franchise or a negative outlook. I choose to be positive and you choose to be negative.
I like how he took the time to post a photo of a glass half full half empty which is definitionally a middle ground between positive and negative and you insist on calling him negative. What do you think glass half full means?
The entire conversation started by him telling me why my positive outlook goes against the odds and how all these "question marks" we have going into next season are reason enough not to be optimistic. His glass half full/half empty spiel had nothing to do with him standing on middle ground as you are trying to suggest.
go back a read.. your fortune telling that we are going to get off on a fast start and so on..
i just said that we don't know what are QB situation is yet to start speaking in absolutes
As long as Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch are running the show, I have absolutely no reason to doubt the team. All reports I have read said Trey will be ready to go at the start of OTA's and Purdy will be ready by the end of July. You want to doubt Trey and Brock, that's fine. Fans also had unfounded concerns about the O line going into the 2022 season. That group turned out to be a top 10 unit inspite of all the unknowns and all the misguided criticism. People are too afraid and negative about the unknown. I thrive in it. All we have as fans is the ability to believe or not believe. I would rather continue to give off positive vibes.
lol positive vibes don't win games.
and don't give me no OL talk or negative nancy BS.. i'm the only one who had Banks and the OL being in the top. I'm the only one who had Purdy being able to win for us before we landed CMC
if you want to live in fantasy land so be it.. i say lets just wait and see
Well ran organizations win games. We have both a top 5 GM and a top 5 HC. This organization has won 66% of their games over the last 4 seasons and 71% over the last 2. Again, nothing tells me that I should be concerned about this team taking a nose dive.
No, you're not the only fan that thought the O line had potential. The point is, a majority of fans were concerned about the O line. The concern was only because of "question marks" (unknowns) and not because of anything they actually observed.
If you want to be concerned because of "unknowns" 6 months before the season even begins, you do you.
