49ers Head Coach Kyle Shanahan Thread

My block list grows and grows. I just can't deal with the constant pessimism anymore. This fanbase needs to grow a pair and exercise some reasonable patience.

What do you mean no sign? They've had one off season lol....lynch and Kyle have stated multiple times that finding a FQB is priority #1 now.

You go on and on about so and so saying we should be 4-1 and Kyle Shanahan is a genius, that's funny because the last few pages have been about you b***hing about the team and people trying to give you reasoning.

the phrases about being 4-1 and kyle being a genius did not come from me., they have come from other posters here, maybe you should do a little research into what other people post rather than zeroing in on a few posters whose opinion stray from the very same posters you and others protect around here. this team is bad,. it is showing no progress from game to game. each game certain aspects of the game prevent us from winning including the coaches. that is reality. not this fantasy world that many people are spinning who are saying we should be 4-1. their words not mine. again. if you would take some time and research it and not just respond to the mob mentality which. i believe you and other mods are part of

Exactly there's a long way to go, but some fans need to identify the reasons for the losses instead of doing the lazy thing and putting sole blame on the head coach. Here's mine:

1. Robert Saleh - Telling his CB's to give 10 yard cushions.
2. Rashard Robinson - Constantly being toasted.
3. O-line - Pass protection is good, but the run blocking needs a lot of work.
4. Receivers/TE's - too many dropped passes - 49ers lead the league in that department.
5. Brian Hoyer - Missing open receivers, holds onto the ball too long and too many passes pulled back that he should of made.

Let's not forget the refs, yes, I blame the refs. I blame them for Trent Taylor's OP call. I blame them for Richard Sherman's no-call PI. I blame them for Jack Mewhort's no-calls on holding 3 snaps in a row.

Bunch of people thought we were gonna win 6 games but now that reality is here oh well right on track we need 6 years

The team showing no progress is false, NY has given you tons of examples, what do you have to back up your claim? With an 0-5 record this team is bad, yes, but to say they're not improving is nonsense. I would love a full detailed analysis of how they're not improving?

Ks good enough coach to make the game somewhat entertaining and lose. All these losses should help out during draft time but by then the losing culture might be too hard shake. Shanny might the coach to stock pile talent and then the next coach comes in puts it together. He might be the Nolan of this decade.

I'd agree with you if we had probowl caliber talent at every position and were still losing. This roster was not going to be a SB contender in one offseason.

What are the signs?

Priority #1 was drafting a DE (that cannot get to the QB) in the first round of the third straight draft.

1 qb play is bad
2 pass protection is bad
3 run defense is bad, tackling is bad
4 secondary is horrid
the penalties and shooting themselves in the foot continue, all these things have been happening since pre season and it is not just young guys so that spin is false. in pre season we saw all these things and you know as well as i do., other posters. nothing i made up, speaking of fantasy spin.... everyone said., it will be different come regular season. well in all those areas it is not. not being ready to play the game and the mistakes and penalties are on the coach.. but here comes the regular season. things have not improved in those areas but of course that just leads to the narrative changing with some people and more deflection and denial

I was one of those who made that prediction. But honestly I say 3-13, with wins over the Giants, Cardinals at home and the Bears on the road. It should put the 49ers right in the top 3 of the draft....again.
