My central point is that Jimmy simply had not been throwing the ball much in the previous games. Whether on open plays or when he needed to improvise, he didn't do it. So, I am suggesting that a part of the blame is on the fact he was not called on to throw the ball under pressure very often.

Sure you can throw that out there as well.

Just in those clips I provide he had time to throw the ball and simply made the wrong read. He's gotta be better end of the day.

...and that is on Jimmy. He does need to be better. However, in the past month, he had thrown fewer passes in that entire stretch than most QBs throw in a single game.

Joe Montana talked about how Bill Walsh demanded simple plays and reads be run time after time after time until they became second nature. Then they ran the same thing in games. That was why it became so instinctive for Joe. Is that happening with Jimmy? IDK, but to be missing such simple reads suggests more time be spent there.

I mean, they practiced the plays they ran in the SB for two weeks. Players have bad plays/moments. It happens. Montana lost 7 playoff games in his career and he was one of the best at winning playoff games. He didn't play great in all of those losses, either. Elway lost 8, including the SB 3 times, and he had some of his weaker games of his career in those 3 SB losses.
Coward, coached scared going into haltime, Superbowl choke artist

Is it just me or did Kyle play the playoffs much different than he did the regular season? Can't do that next time.

10000%
Kyle can't get out of his own way. They couldn't stop the outside run to save their life, gains 5 yards on every first down run only to pass two consecutive times and give the ball right back.

It became pretty clear he is a young coach with his clock management and 4th quarter play calling. But we already knew this cause it's happened in every loss outside of the Ravens. And doesn't seem like he learned much after the Atlanta collapse. Then letting Saleh play zone against one of the best zone beating offenses. After KCs first score in the 4th it was clear what was about to happen.
Dude, why the hell did he not challenge that Emmanuel Sanders hold? Wtf they weren't even using their damm timeouts to begin with..... This game gots me all messed up
WHY DIDNT YOU RUN IT DOWN THEIR THROATS LIKE YOURE BUILT TO???! FFFFUUUUU SHANNY

Our receivers were open there was plays to be had. KC was letting it happen. Jimmy G needed to play better. He needed to step up it was all there for him.

That's not even the point ..... you run the ball and you force them to use the timeouts or you can run clock. Why is this so hard to accept ?? Its basic football , Mostert just got 5 yards on a run. Even If he doesnt get the first. You take about 2 minutes off the clock. Leaves them about 4 minutes or you make them take timeouts. Punt the ball and make them play 90 yards. Which they were not scoring quick anyway. Chiefs drives took so long for them to score. Even Mathieu was glad they stopped running. That should tell you how confident they were in stopping the run game even with a stacked box

But what happens?? they decide to throw resulting in no time taken off the clock , still had all their timeouts, defense had no time to rest, and jimmy being put into a position he never should have been.

I mean if yall dont know this by now...., Jimmy will never be Brees, Brady or Manning. But he had a great run game and defense. Not all SB qbs were great quarterbacks. So to ask him to take over a game when they are running the ball extremely well not to mention being a little rusty and having unnecessary pressure on him is stupid af on Shanahan's part

Also they needed two scores before the 47 second drive. Even if they scored , they still needed another score. They needed an onside kick or try and stop the run.
Kyle is a great coach. Watching the Baldy Breakdown of all of Jimmy's missed opportunities just reinforces how unbelievable of an offensive mind Kyle is. We are fortunate to have him—he will take us to the promise land.

He'll have to do it with Jimmy 6 of 8

Jimmy will learn.
Kyle Shanahan.......wait for it........as play caller for the Falcons and 49ers in 2 Super Bowls.......

Has been outscored 46 - 0 in the 4th quarter.

46 - 0 in 2 Super Bowls.

Not even a single FG on all the possesions in 2 games in the 4th quarter.

This is not a Super Bowl Coach. He's a regular season tiger. Big game CHOKER.

.......... ...........
