Of course we can save $4M by cutting Beadles, I'm sure they will wait till they're able to sign a OG to replace him, someone like Josh Kline from the Titans or Justin Pugh of the Giants. Not sure they will sign Andrew Norwell, he will get $12M+ a yr deal.

If I'm the 49ers, I make a run at the following FAs day 1.

WR Sammy Watkins, Allen Robinson(depends on if the Jags tag him or not)
OG Josh Kline, Justin Pugh, Andrew Norwelll(Same as Robinson, and I think we should still kick the tires on him, and see his asking price)
CB Trumaine Johnson, Malcolm Butler, Kyle Fuller(Same as Robinson and norwell)

I'd also look at TE Trey Burton(Eagles), RBs Dion Lewis(Pats), Isaiah Crowell(Browns), Hyde of course IMO anyway, plus see what Brock Coyle will want to return.

The only edge guys I like are Jeremiah Attaochu. Maybe Bradham.

If we somehow strike out with the top 3 CBs, then we need to look at Rashaan Melvin, Bashaad Breeland, Aaron Colvin, and EJ Gaines day 1. I'd love to sign one from each of these groups(CB wise), and all of them. Would love to come away with the following day 1-2 of FA

WR Watkins or Robinson
OG Kline
CB Johnson
CB Colvin
TE Burton
RB Lewis or Crowell

I'm not seeing the attraction to Dion Lewis. I think he's average at best. We shouldn't be grabbing all of these New England player's. Other teams have good players too. I don't want San Francisco to become the Raiders where we grab other teams castoffs.

I agree for the most part, particularly at RB, but it seems to me that picking up cast offs is a natural part of turning over a roster when your own players don't fit your scheme. Free agents, draftees, cast offs, trades...any way they can bring in guys they believe fit. NE guys might bring some enlightening training tips with them.
Checking the CBS Board it's fun to consider what the niners can get through the draft (big maybe) in light of free agent needs. If you agree with me that FA should be used for immediate needs...not a big deal. A big WR might be the least of their problems if CBS is accurate.

Here are the CBS picks at our spots in the draft:
9: Courland Sutton, WR, 6'3"215, 4.54 40.
59: Tyrell Crosby, OT, 6'5" 320.
70: Uchenna Nwosu, OLB, 6'3" 235.
74: Quin Blanding, FS, 6'2" 215,
124: Poona Ford, DT, 6'0" 310.
134: Allen Lazard, WR, 6'5" 223, 4.55 40.
170: J'Mon Moore, WR, 6'3" 205, 4.6 40.
201: Simmie Cobbs, WR, 6'4" 220, 4.64 40.

This is not a mock draft, but how players fall on the CBS Board. It is interesting to me that so many big WRs may be available to the niners at their current picks. All conjecture...but this is what we do this time of year.

Comprehension? This is a big board ranking, not a mock draft.

If we can re-sign Brock Coyle, I can see us going WR in the lower rounds. I think I agree with NCommand though, our first pick is either a trade down or best player available. That could be an offensive player like a Saquon or defense in Chubb. But if neither are there, I'm betting it's a trade down like last year and then they get their edge rusher in either Landry or Davenport or whoever, and end up with extra picks in the lower rounds next year or this year.

man i want lynch to trade down. i did kick and scream about coyle but that makes alot of sense to me thanks to the problem child we have now. i know we got some free agent qbs out there but i have to believe come draft day there are some qb needy teams we could do a deal with

I agree. That would be my ideal scenario too. A trade down and still get the player you want. I'm assuming Saquon and Chubb are gone when we pick. I hear the draft nerds on the draft nerd boards say that a QB run will be to about 3 QB's before our 9th pick, at most. Add in Saquon and Chubb and you get to five. That's 3 top LEO picks (I'm assuming worst case scenario) aside from Chubb that are picked before us, getting us to around Landry as our LEO pick - and so if we trade back a couple we might still wind up with him. Anyway, that's all up in the air pending free agency. Who knows. Until Free Agency ends, I don't think anybody's mock drafts will be very accurate.
