The sky is falling in the zone again!!
Hows about we give Lynch a chance. I wouldn't call him a fail hire before he even starts his journey as a new GM. After all, Elway didn't have a single experienced being a GM before the Broncos hired him and he won a SB in his 2nd year in as a GM and created one of the best rosters in the NFL. Give Lynch a chance to show us what he got before we can call him a failure.

The 6 yr contract is not a big deal.
It doesn't count against cap, it's out of the Yorks pockets.

Yeah Mark Dominik who has been out of the NFL for 4 years. Brilliant!
Well he's certainly an experienced personnel guy. He wouldn't be focusing on full GM responsibilities, just personnel, might even do a good job.
Why not just go all in and hire Matt Millen. He has experience as well.
He has experience and failed miserably so, we know what we got there... we don't know if this guy's gonna fail, not yet
Mark Dominik would actually be great imo. He's smart, inovative and has lost of experience. He could hold Lynch's hand quite well. But he does usevisit Walter Football for his mock drafts though!!fact
We really want Mark Dominik? Career record as a GM was 28-52. This is like hiring Matt Millen to mentor him.

What did he do right? People outside the fan base, not just 'WHINER' fans, are saying WTF with this hire. On its merits its a s**tty hire from a owner who doesn't get the benefit of the doubt. We're fans not sycophants.

Reverse it. Shanny the Younger just got him a wingman that will cover his back for the next six years (if they last that long).
From this moment on, I will refer to them as Maverick and Goose.

NO! THAT'S A BAD, JROUTER4949! Now play nice! (Attack the post not the entire community.)
Yeah I know, just tire of seeing these negative posts about the GM Hire without proof that Lynch is a BAD Hire,Hell look at Reggie over in Oaktown and the Raiders,I guess He was a BAD hire too?, it seems like there are a Lot of Juvenile-football knowledge posters here who do a Lot of Bashing and Whinning when for Once Jed has taken his time and looked for the right Guys to rebuild the team to be competitive AGAIN.

LOL I feel ya... I really don't know if it's gonna pan out, but I'll reserve / save my best rants for [if] (hopefully not) it goes bad. Right now it's in neutral, let's see what happens

All those that laughed about McDaniels. Truth is no one wants to work with Shanahan and Paraag!

Yup. At this point we have no choice but to give him a chance lol. He's a complete unknown, so anybody trying to say how good or bad he'll be at the job is purely speculating. Just have to roll with it.
At the very least, feeling is good that we'll finally have HC/FO structure that can work together. The dysfunction of the last couple years was ridiculous. Lynch is known to be a strong leader and communicator. Hopefully he brings the whole operation together.

Yeah I'm with sdaddy on this one. Why should we trust Jed York?
Honestly if he had followed the so-called "whiners"
1. Baalke would have left instead of Harbaugh
2. Gase would have been hired over Tomsula,
3. Baalke would have been fired after 2015 and a new HC/GM search would have begun
Honestly his decision making has been so bad over the last 2.5 years that the angry mob would have run the team better than him. I don't see how he gets the benefit of the doubt ever.
