Its weird that John Lynch and Frank Gore both played in the 2006 Pro Bowl.

I could be wrong, but I believe Soloman Thomas and Lynch had a college class together lol dead serious

JL was in a class with Solomon during his freshman year. Something like critical thinking and decision making which is ironic. Lynch's oldest son busted his chops for not finishing college after his dad was telling the son about not following through on things he started. That's when JL went back to Stanford to finish his degree.

That's great information. Ken Norton, Riki Ellison, and I think Ronnie Lott did that too. They finished their degrees after they got into the NFL and their careers were at the end stage and they saw the writing on the wall. I'm hoping that JL will really help in drafting some great DB's - our super bowl years were marked by great DB's and who better to draft great DB's than a soon to be hall of fame GM that had a storied NFL career as a DB/Safety.

True, the third draft in the Walsh era brought Lott, Wright and Williamson to be added to Hicks (a round 6 pick by the Lions). 1978 starters? Roberson, Crist, Lewis and Leonard...not exactly a memorable group!
Hes doing a great job thus far.

And we were right.

They sat together during some classes and had lunch together on Tuesdays.

Odd...chance?...That is called squaring the circle...also known as fado.
Fado is traditional folk music popular in the Lisbon area of Portugal. Melancholy by nature, the music includes instruments like guitars

Did they do a music class together?

I like the Lynch hire. I am a bit worried about the fact that he has no GM or player personnel experience, but I think that's a positive. I think because of his inexperience, he'll cede a lot of his power to Kyle. The previous regime's GM structure in Harbaugh, Tomsula, and Kelly - the GM was just too powerful.
Lynch comes to us with no scars except his love of Portuguese Fado style music.

But what he does in his own time is up to him.

He did damn good in FA and the draft.

having a GM who knows they need other's input in a VERY positive change.
I want to see him run a few years yet before I claim him as the second coming of William Walsh

Very good Golden Gate...sounds like you may have spent some times in the fado bars literally scattered thru a portion of Lisboa. The music is sad and melancholy and interestingly is sung only by women with lovely but gravelly voices...sounds like chronic smokers voices... but is truly fascinating and beautiful at the same time.
Fado is this very unique type of singing, all country folk songs, extremely hard on the vocal cords, and the women's average singing careers is about that of a NFL RB, or about 4-5 yrs. The music is haunting, beautiful, and unforgettable. But the meaning of "fado" is fate...which most of the songs are about.
Fate - it applies beautifully to John Lynch.

Is he fated to be the greatest GM ever; or just another also ran.
