"I committed—I learned this from Tony Dungy—that talking to them personally, the GM and coach, is just the right thing to do. Even the bottom of the roster guys, you talk to everyone you release [them]. I told Kyle when we started there's certain things I want to do different. I don't care if it's the back end of the roster, you and I both should meet with them. It's a tough deal when your dreams are shattered."

Baalke probably texted his players on his way to Sizzler.

Baalke didn't even text them the players had to find out through twitter
He sure is in the spotlight a lot for a GM.
He should start a rumor about Lombardi getting a sex change.

Donnie, who said I was losing my ish haha. It's all fun and games, I'll defend my dude Kobe Bryant the same way. When Frank hangs them up, I'd say we better do something special for the man but I guarantee you we're gonna classy and do right by Frank. I'm glad this led me to know he needs 620 yards to make it to #5 rushing yards of all time. I'm gonna be tuning on and rooting for the Colts this year. Real talk

You know you can actually route for Frank and not the colts?

Let's all route for Gire!

Has anyone else reported Lynch being overweight? This guy seems to disagree...http://www.mercurynews.com/2017/04/27/49ers-minicamp-analysis-10-best-takeaways/

Scroll to number six.

Edit: I don't know why it's not creating a link but I've copied and pasted twice.

At this point twenty pounds is not a big deal. If he comes to camp out of shape then he may not have time to compete with the added talent. I don't see Shanahan or Lynch being too patient with guys as they have already set the tone with Brock. I'm not sure Lynch will fit the new scheme though...too light for the line, too slow for the OLB spot.

We don't really have anybody on the roster that fills the LEO/ELEPHANT role, the way the scheme draws it up. At this point, the only thing that we do know is the team's best pass rusher will fill the role. In a group of Lynch, Carradine, Harold, and Taumoepenu, I don't think there's any question who is the best pure pass rusher right now out of that group. Unfortunately not every need can be solved in one offseason and I think finding some better depth at the position will be a main priority next offseason.

I believe they may move guys around from game to game depending on the offense they are playing. Buckner is much quicker than Armstead but not as strong. Thomas is smaller but may be able to anchor better as well as be quicker than either. We don't really know at this point but I suspect they will try very hard to match them up so their strengths will be maximized. If the opponent has an OT who is not as good against a bull rush I could see Armstead playing against him. On the other hand, if an OT lacks quickness to cover speed guys then Thomas, Buckner or one of the tweeners would play there (Herald, Lynch, etc.).

I get what you're saying but Buckner is stronger than AA right now... by how much and for how long I'm not sure cause I'm sure AA is working on getting lean mass and his strength back as we speak.

What makes you think Buckner is stronger than AA? Other than the shoulder he was much stronger than his team mate last year, who was often pushed off the line.

Because he had shoulder surgery and probably didn't even get cleared until 2-3 months ago... So IMO,no way in hell he's as strong as he was last year before TC.

Last year he was stronger than Buckner and was playing with one arm...ala Justin Smith. Wish either of them could be as good as JS...but perhaps in time? Imagine if both had the heart of JS and just need seasoning! That would be terrific.

I have brought this up before - no one seems concerned.

I guess I am not either - but a GM as the face of a franchise? I can't think of another team like that.

Usually coach (or owner in the case of DALLAS)
