I agree. The defense was flat out getting pushed around far too often and the first order of business was to change that dynamic. Yesterdays selections of Thomas and Foster go a really long way to addressing the toughness or "attitude" problem the 49ers defense had. Thomas gives you a relentless motor on every play and the ability to generate a pass rush up the middle. Foster gives you the sideline speed and an authoritative presence roaming around behind the line.

Harbaugh's defenses were nasty. Let's bring some of the nasty back.

A couple of things missing on offense are a big-bodied receiver (TE or WR) and a complementary back to Hyde that works well in a zone-style scheme, is quick, and can catch out of the backfield.
Fangio's defenses not Harbaugh's.

i wonder if "being on time" was a common problem under the old regime? seems liek a random thing to put on the sign but its definitely a good rule
Brock is cut but Foster is drafted? not very consistent.
With Lynch being in charge I have less worries when drafting risky players because he seems to have that communication skills that the team needs, If this was still Baalke's team.. drafting players with character issues would be a concern.

About every great coach I've read about has this rule. Walsh's practices were timed to minimize time on the field by being extremely efficient...making being on time vital. I love that attitude and players learn to appreciate the respect the coaches show for their time...no wasted minutes standing around waiting for directions!

I see your hatred of Foster has carried over from the Froster thread.

so, being a total dick is ok? to me, it is not. if you are talking about a new culture, you should be consistent.
