I do believe this Falcon game is a trap game. Especially now that they're down to Kirk and WRs 7, 8, 9, 10.

Good times still though!

Trade for a WR for insurance, that WR can take Cowings spot.

Just saw that the Rams are favorites to trade with the jags for Brian Thomas.

Lynch can't let that happen, we need to intercept that trade.

Thanks for the video. It's a long watch so didn't get through all of it.
Would it be safe to say that Liam's offense isn't featuring him, or Liam just doesn't like him? If so he's trade ready.

Strib can't be counted on for anything this yr. Deebo isn't a true WR anymore. Kirk has been hurt since August…him and Robinson are depth guys, they shouldn't be counted on as starting WRs that teams have to game plan for.

they absolutely need a WR with what is happening to Evans. Dude is hurting and that's not gonna magically change this yr.
This. Without another receiver expect more of the 2nd half. Evans is trying hard to stay on the field but his body is saying no man, I can't do it.
I just don't know if Evans will hold up for the rest of the year. His Achilles seems like a ticking time bomb that is going to go off sometime this year. Need to see if we can get someone that Purdy trusts to throw to. Wish we could get JJ back, but don't think the Vikings will trade with us. We need insurance if something does happen long term to Evans. Don't think we currently have it on the team, but maybe we do with the guys coming back.

On one hand, it would suck if the Rams trade for him, he becomes what he was supposed to be and saves the Rams season.

On the other hand… it would be hilarious to watch the Rams burn up even more of their future just for Thomas to continue being exactly what he's been.

So I'm torn on this one.

I don't think sellers have any motivation to trade right now. Unless they get an absolutely stupid offer. Deadlines will bring them better deals. And teams will only get more injured between now and then.

How about wicks? The phili fire sale is about to start. I just don't want Barkley going to Seattle.

But it also means they may have to pay that player their salary until that trade happens. So if they are looking to save some money, then they could do the trade earlier. Probably not a big deal in most cases though.
I wasn't high putting WR on the priority list but last night and something the Locked on 49ers podcast mentioned has maybe changed my mind. If you look at our current WR corps, who are our long term options?

Stribling
Pearsall maybe??? Talented but just can't get healthy.

And thats it. We don't even really know about Stribling either. We many need to invest in a long term type WR. I'd understand if they don't but if the price it right i'd maybe pull the trigger.

Dude stinks. I mean what exactly is he good at besides running fast in a straight line? Wouldn't call him a good route runner, bad hands, no YAC.

agree
we could have Evans, Deebo, Robinson, and Kirk all back after the bye
we just have to get through ATL, worst-case we lose because our pass game but we're still 6-1

people seem to have forgotten how good Stribling looked in preseason
we get him back a month before the playoffs

and I think we're eyeing Kirk to be our punt returner, but that's just a hunch

only way MIN is trading JJ to us is if he becomes a problem there, in which case - do we really want him? especially when all those guys come back and he's now the 4th or 5th or 6th option

only other WR that makes a little bit of sense to me would be Keenan Allen for a day 3 pick -- vet, low cap hit, would probably pick up the playbook pretty quick, having a decent season despite the DUI

You can't assume Strib is coming back and will be effective.

Evans is gonna be hurt all year. You can't just take a week or two off and be 100% with what he's dealing with.

What are we counting on with Robinson/Deebo/Kirk anyway? None of those dudes are game planners for defenses anymore.

Not sure who's realistically available, but after this Evans injury they need to get someone meaningful.
I'm not the first to mention this, but they should trade for Pop Douglas from the Pats. I think he's in the final year of his rookie deal and he's a solid slot guy. A fourth round pick would be a solid return for the Pats.

But the Pats like him, and they're competitive. He's not a #1 receiver, but he's productive in his role.
Can we just trade the farm for Maxx Crosby and be done?

Wouldn't hate that. I just don't see a legit WR1 being available to trade for…Josh downs is another one.

Not sure if there's a WR on the Texans worth checking out (they got a lot of depth there now). Godwin?
