We should trade a 7th for him.
Why

Seems obvious. With Evans likely missing some time, we're badly in need of WRs. Deebo, Watkins, Cowing, Cooks, Hodges is a terrible WR corps. Maybe we can get away having Kittle and CMC be our entire passing offense against bad teams, but it probably won't work against Denver or Seattle. JJ knows the system.

I would love to have JJ back, but I doubt it's possible.

Logically it makes sense for us. However with the new found injuries at wr for the Vikings I don't see them moving one.

Doesn't make any logical sense right now

Agreed.

They need dline help more than WR imo. No way we trust Bosa and Halton will be gassed end of season. Mykel coming back will be huge, but the more the merrier.

I love those trade scenarios, especially the complete disregard that it takes two to tango. Why would a team that finds itself unexpectedly at 3-0 trade one of their players for a miserable 7th round pick next year? It doesn't matter how little they've used him, he's depth. He helps them NOW. A 7th round pick, even if it turns out to be the love child of Purdy and Colston (the two most obvious brilliant 7th round picks), will help them from next year.

Ring gonna Ring.

It really is a ridiculous trade scenario.

The fit makes logical sense. The wrs are completely depleted and he knows the system. With that said Vikings aren't trading a wr right now.

I have to say on redraft, both Purdy and Colby would be first round picks in my book.

I brought it up because Barrows brought it up as a possibility. JJ hasn't fit in well there.

Do you think he's playing 17 games this year? Can he even survive an entire game without getting another injury? I don't think the team should make any decisions about the WR room with the impression that Evans will be available.

JJ can even make impact to get targets

most guys here forget most of Purdy's 2025 ints were due to JJ

Then Barrows is talking out of his [select orifice of choice]. That, or I'd like some of what the Vikings GM is on - far out!
