I like Lynch, but if you look at the last 6 drafts it's not pretty. Their original drafts and Purdy have saved face.

You can do that for a lot of teams and say that including the defending SB champs

They went like a decade with minimal impact players. Pretty much 2013-2021 only 2 impact players were Lockett and DK Metcalf.

In our last 6 drafts which includes the unknowns of this last draft we have Brock Purdy and Lenoir as impact guys and some TBDs due to unknown factors.

Just have to hope these last few drafts are a step in the right direction. Mykel and Collins' injuries hurt. Need 2026 to deliver on several hits which can quickly turn things around.

His 1st half of drafts are very questionable but Kyle deserves just as much of the blame. Their draft day logic allows them to talk themselves into drafting players a round early. No argument from me here. But to sit here and say they can't build a team is asinine.

I don't think all aspects of team building suck. They do a good job through trades and decently well in free agency, but holy f**k, they are awful at drafting. Unfortunately, the draft is the lifeblood of NFL rosters, and without good drafts, you're f**ked because you can't just buy every player. Also, your depth goes to s**t.

If Gracen Holton can become a solid starter for the 9ers they could follow the Rams blue print to a Super bowl. Reason I say Holton because, he would help solidify the middle of the defense something the 9ers have struggled to do over the years. I believe they're right there with the Rams in terms of QB to WR to RB on offense. On defense the 9ers just need to tweak their secondary like the Rams did and the 9ers won't be looked at as just a wild card anymore.

I'm pulling for Larry Ogunjobi or MSN's trade article suggestion Tedarrell Slaton, dude is a monster and hasn't missed a game in three seasons.

This is how I feel. It's not whining for me, it's simply data observation at this point.

The most important statistic - Seattle has something to show for it

They didn't during most of those drafts...
End of the day SF has stunk at drafting for a considerable amount of time. They can't get out of their own way, constant reaching that's resulted in s**t picks.

the good thing is, it only takes one really good draft to turn it all around.

Good post...i agree we just need a couple of good drafts and fill the holes in our roster to finally get over the hump

Seattle did it, the Rams did it, now us.

I was going to say this. What worries me is that they never seem to learn from their mistakes when it comes to reaching. They continue doing it year after year. Ironically, they seem to have hit on Stribling and Black this year, which will likely end up reinforcing the exact draft philosophy that has produced a ton of whiffs. I love that it looks like they hit, but I hate that it will likely inadvertently validate a bad process.

I still can't get over them drafting Enrique Cruz in the fifth round. Someone should be fired for that alone. I'm being hyperbolic, but holy f**k, that guy is horrible.
