49er trades don't leak until their done.
The Raiders aren't doing anything to help the 49ers.
Lynch doesn't offer "top of market" trade value for anyone.

And by some miracle if the Raiders do trade Crosby to us it's probably because they know his injuries are way worse than we think. We'd be getting another Dee Ford situation.

I mean they gave up top market value for CMC and we were linked to him before it happened. Like AB said we offered more than the Bears for Mack.

I don't even know what his value is at this point. He's not worth 2 1sts after Baltimore backed out imo….if anyone was offering that he would have been moved by now.
I don't think we were linked to CMC because of a FO leak though, it was just the best and most obvious landing spot. Kyle (or his family) used to babysit CMC and it was weird that Kyle didn't pick him instead of Solomon Thomas that in 2017.

Is it "49ers trades don't leak" or "49ers front office doesn't leak"? You said the former and the 49ers interest in trading for CMC after Rhule was fired by Carolina was definitely leaked and reported. Also, some of the Aiyuk trade offers during the negotiation were leaked to push teams into caving to Lynch's compensation demand. The 49ers accepting the Steelers trade for Aiyuk also got leaked. Pretty Rickey doesn't miss (except that one time, and that other time).

I'd also argue we know about a lot of the trades before they are "done". Often times they are leaked, reported, and/or announced before the player completes the physical.

No leaks, but I'm on record on trading for CMC way before any traction/trade happened.

It was known before the trade happened that Eric Wright had been arrested for DUI. Baalke even put out a statement saying the team did its "due diligence". He also held a meeting with the press.

"The Bucs were very forthcoming with the information and we definitely knew what his status was," Baalke said. "Our medical staff wasn't convinced he was ready to put on the field, so we didn't pass him."

"All the work we did and the discussions we had with Eric when he came in here was very positive," Baalke said. "There were some concerns, we addressed the concerns. But once again he's not with us and we'd rather talk about the guys that are here. He just didn't pass the physical."

"They're always a red flag, but once again, I'd ask you guys to do your due diligence as well and find out the facts surrounding that," Baalke said. "That particular instance, certainly we were aware of and certainly it's a red flag, but I don't think what's being reported is really the facts around it."

Baalke was openly talking about signing Wright down the line after he was released. After the 49ers lost Culliver, the team signed Wright and immediately designated him Reserve/NFI.

And magically he managed to pass a physical a few weeks later (when he was a fa)

Go google it. There was reports of them being one of the interested parties for CMC. Kyle almost drafted him instead of Thomas per NBC sports.

SF is consistently on the list of teams that have interest in making these type of trades. Doesn't always work out that way for all kinds of reasons.

As far as Maxx goes, I don't see SF going that direction. I wouldn't mind them signing clowney or Bosa and keeping their picks.
Crosby is not coming here, we all know that. This click bait headline stuff is getting ridiculous.

We wouldn't give up the capital to get MG, but all of a sudden we are all in to get MC??? This doesn't make much sense IMO.

I think the 49ers would've gave up the capital, they just didn't have the player to give.

Niners definitely inquired but yeah, we don't have a Jared Verse caliber player (young stud) yet on this D. Maybe Mykel or Alfred breaks through this year as more then just a run stuffer 🤞

Right? We didn't have a young player that we could trade for him and that's what the Browns wanted in addition to the picks

Also fact is that Garrett has a NTC so he could veto any trade he didn't like
The Ravens had originally given up #14 in 2026 and a 1st rounder in 2027 which is supposed to be one of the best 1st rounds in recent memory.

If the Raiders want a similar package to that, I don't see how the 49ers can be in on it.

Yeah I doubt it happens, but I just don't see them getting anything like what the Browns got for Garrrett, with that knee injury being serious according to what has been reported I just can't see someone giving up more than 1 1st rd pick

The deal also happened because MG also redid his contract.
