Williams wanted to return to Kyle's scheme and vice versa. Kyle probably pushed hard for CMC too. Now let's look at what Lynch did traded for Garoppolo when Kyle wanted Cousins traded for Dee Ford with a chronic knee, which worked for a year… Traded away Buckner for another DT with knee degeneration, tried fixing his Garoppolo trade by using 3 1sts+ making arguably a top 5 dumbest trade ever not knowing who would even be there… and that's off the top of my head. I'm not taking away from his late round hits either, I brought that up as his saving grace

KS wanted cousins so bad he had no interest in checking out mahomes at JL behest . See how that works. Lol You don't get to pick and chose what moves he was responsible for or based on what worked and what didn't.

Yeah not sure what 49erRing is trying to prove, Garrett is pretty much a guaranteed All Pro at the least if healthy and I think it's a bit ridiculous to think he can't get DPOY again. He's not Reggie but it's looking like he's going to be a top 5 pass rusher of all time. Only ones I don't see him surpassing is White and LT

If we had traded for him, he'd be injured by week 3. With how our luck has been Myles will probably go into a 2nd prime with the Rams.

See, this take I agree with. They've drafted so well recently, too. You'd think they'd want to keep fortifying the roster rather than concentrating their talent in one player.

Well you answered your own question, Garrett is the type of player that can put you over the top to get a ring. That and they know they don't have much left in Stafford so go all in. If it was the flip side of the coin where the Browns make that trade for Garrett it makes no sense but for the Rams right now this is the type of move that can bring a championship

Verse is a pressure machine, but the same reason he gets a ton of pressure is also why he doesn't get a lot of sacks: his entire rush game is predicated on the bullrush. He's awesome at collapsing the pocket, but everything he does is through contact. He rarely gets a clean opportunity to finish the sack because of his sticky rush style. He's also stiff as hell and struggles to reduce his surface area around the arc.

To be clear: Verse is a one-trick pony, but he's damn good at that one trick. I'm not sure he'll ever be a consistent double-digit sack guy, tho. He's very difficult to project. He's like an edge version of Justin Smith--he'll probably never give you a huge sack season, but he's going to be a glue guy-- a guy who gives you 5-8 sacks every season, a s**t ton of pressures, sets a concrete edge, relentless to the ball, does the dirty work, etc.

"And then calling our head coach, Kyle, and saying, 'We might want to rethink this,' because he put on a show."

The 49ers passed on quarterbacks until selecting C.J. Beathard at the end of the third round

Kyle was Trent's offensive coordinator for multiple years and CMC is literally Kyle's wet dream it's easy to see the correlation. While if Kyle waved off top talent at QB because he had a plan, Lynch over rode it breaking the plan trading for Jimmy, not sure how that makes him look any better also Lynch is the GM if he wanted Mahomes he could have taken him instead of Solomon Thomas.
