Some of you guys are really hilarious but I get that the Lombardi cult is strong here

The proof will be in the pudding with Kaelon Black. Shanahan said it was his pick and he was the one who fell in love with him. If Black flames out and can't see the field as yet another 3rd round wasted RB pick he can't be allowed to be involved in the draft.

As for losing the SB's. Let's say one of those wasted picks is a LB, corner or guard. Someone who offered better depth at LB when Greenlaw went down and who didn't get picked on (Oren Burks) and changed the whole game or a safety who doesn't allow the 3rd and 15 or a guard who doesn't let Chris Jones run unblocked like Burford we probably win at least one, probably 2 SB's.

I think the team of Kyle and John is fine with the way the team hierarchy has been designed. Not saying it's perfect. They can get better. Doing it your way leads to eventual infighting (Pete Carroll vs John Schneider) and what is happening now between McVay and Snead (the Ty Simpson pick controversy). Jed designed the hierarchy with the counsel of his Uncle, so I wouldn't deviate from the advice given by his Uncle. His Uncle has some experience winning important games and even spoke at a small event in Ohio.

I agree, losing Dre Greenlaw hurt us bad in 2023. Defense wins Superbowl's, and Kyle did lead late in both Superbowl games. The defense fell apart in the last minutes because (in my opinion) he didn't have the pass defense to stop a good passing offense. Sucks but that's reality.

SHANNY lost his FIRST Super Bowl because he was not strong minded enough to stick w/the running game... apparently, he believed that Mostert's awesome game against the Packer in the NFCCG was a fluke that he didn't play him until the 2nd Quarter... While up by 10, Shanny decided to throw the ball because he wanted the credit for his play calling...

Andy Reid is a good coach and a former Offensive Lineman so he knows how to build dominating offensive and defensive lines. Another coach with that background was John Madden. Both are hall of famers. Kyle's not yet at their level, but he's getting close in my opinion.

Shanny
Martz
June Jones
Norm Chow
Air Coryell
Norv Turner

all are nothing more than a very good OC.. nothing is wrong with that, but some are just not made to be a HC...
Ah! Finally got the safety we all hoped and wanted.
Want to know how s**tty this draft was overall? The Ravens GM let their owner draft someone in the 5th rd.

Objectively you can't say that after what transpired this past season. We were tossing out UDFAs and backups to backups and beating the defending SB champs in the playoffs.

Kyle is a f**king good HC plain and simple. Anyone trying to argue that is not a serious person.

We can all prerend we know how our draft hierarchy goes…I'm guessing Kyle has more say in those skilled positions like WR. That's his position. Proclaiming he's overriding everyone for every pick and he's the only one watching film is being emotional and dumb. I do think we need to change up our scouting department and GM. Proof is in the pudding there.

We need to let the GM and scouts get the groceries and let the coaching cook. Better balance needs to be had.
End of the day fans are gonna get one of two outcomes. This draft actually turns into a good quality draft and shuts up all the media/fan noise OR they bomb and Lynch is gone.

Jed would then find a more established GM who brings in his own dudes and Kyle remains HC.

EWM was not on our board.

Walsh was also a good OC who grew to become a great HC. Agree its a rare thing. Most hall of fame coaches came from either the offensive or defensive side of the ball. Again it's a rare thing for any of them to get to the hall of fame level. Most OC's or DC's fail in the endeavor. Kyle is still growing as a coach.

I loved the 2025 draft when Kyle had a good former head coach himself (Saleh) that had some gravitas to kind of balanced things out, from a different - more defensive perspective. Kyle has some pretty strong opinions, and he backs those opinions up with extensive X's and O's know how. Saleh was a guy who also knew his X's and O's. That was a good combo. He's hopefully found that in Raheem and Eberflus, both former head coaches themselves.

We'll see how the 2026 draft goes. The 1986 draft saved Walsh. I hope this last draft will do the same for Kyle.

Agree and I hope that balance was reached in the crappy talent barren 2026 draft. I'd rather have Kyle pick the 5th rounders than Jed.

Ah, yes. The mythical "other" choice. Who is to say picks at any of those other positions would have resulted in players who were capable of making an impact. There have been plenty of third round selections at every position on the field, all across the league, who never turned out to be anything other than rotational players or out and out busts. You spend all of your time it here lambasting the team for the way it drafts and yet your argument here is that if they hadn't taken those RBs in round three they would have been able to get better players at other positions but, according to you, they're incapable of selecting good players so why is there any expectation that the LB, corner or guard you mentioned would have been a better choice.
