There's deals being made and although I wouldn't have done that trade egg the Chiefs it seems that LA always beats us to the punch.

What punch did they beat us to here? You said it yourself you wouldn't do the trade.

Matt Stafford was the one who got away but if you read into what actually happened the Lions weren't looking for a better offer from the 49ers or they would've called Kyle back.

Lions new GM came from the Rams and loved Jared Goff. He clearly wanted to deal with the Rams and didn't bother seeing if we could offer up more.

It's the Stafford trade that hurt the most. Les Snead is just aggressive and Lynch much more tentative.

Huh? You do realize that FA doesn't start until Monday at Noon EST right? You can't sign other teams FAs till then, well agree to deals till then, not sure what you expect him to do? Tamper with free agents and then lose draft picks? I don't get how people don't realize this, you can't bring I new players until the new league year begins.
You gotta love all these reports that say the Niners have expressed interest in such n such player or this guy or X free agent, with a big or semi-big name and yet everyone knows we almost never sign any of them.

The point is the majority of all those guys listed were either historically injury-riddled, way past their prime or marginal starters at best

The point is, the 49ers were in their Super Bowl window. They were trying to push it over the hump, and more than one of those teams was good enough to win the Super Bowl. They just didn't, which is why its only now a problem.

Oh yeah?

This thread is insane right now lol

That being said isn't this Lynch contract year? hmmmmm I would expect an extension soon no?

lol it's like post SB reactions all over again. Everyone having b***h fits because the rams made a trade .
he doesn't get this offseason right , not sure he gets one.

I know. Right after a SB loss I let it go as some folks will come here and scream/vent etc. After such a big game we can all relate. Now aside the obvious pain of a SB loss...yeah, this stuff right now is dumb lol

I think this is interesting though. Lynch and Kyle have previously been extended with a year left? Lynch so far has not. Kyle's contract runs through 27 so I would expect him to get extended next year.

That's why those guys are available. Very few teams let a quality player still able to contribute hit the open market unless the just can't afford them or arein a rebuild. You aren't going to see pro bowlers in their prime on the free agent market. If teams want to get rid of those types they make a trade.

To sum up everything over 10 years. Jed has given them anything and everything they have wanted. It is reported maybe last year he pulled it in a bit but how can you blame him. Not too long ago we had a lethal lethal best in NFL depending who you ask, Defense, like the Hags now. On that same team we had an OF some would say closer to Hags last year during that run. They won and we did not.

Yeah, here comes the Chiefs and how hard it is but this organization has been handed everything possible and still can't get it done. When you are given full freedom to hire and the pin number to the bank to buy who you want for years and not over the hump then you need to start looking at the decision makers.

I think John is awesome as a guy and a face for the franchise but there are other highly educated professionals who maybe able to get it done. How long do you ride with it. Pull out a picture of yourself from ten years ago and then look in the mirror now. Still waiting.

They don't have any interest in those guys. LOL. As soon as the DORKS see how much they have to pay. They won't do it. We will sign some bargain basement 3rd tier and 4th tier free agents. Like we do every year. While teams like the Rams wheel and deal and get better in our own division. I can see how they can win the Super Bowl and we can't.

I think we all agree the main issue with this team is personnel. Their more recent drafts have not been pretty. I said before, these guys aren't dumb, so I believe they know it. How they do this offseason and next season will determine Lynch's future given what we know. The roster isn't horrible, but yeah.... some of these recent drafts are abysmal, especially compared to earlier ones and that's what "intensifies" it for us fans.

The other wrench has been the injuries, but technically that's not Lynch's or Kyles fault. I would hope collectively they try to figure it out, but I think Jed may own stock in that power company next door lol
Lynch can't win on this forum. If they go all in for a free agent there will be some fans that say we overpaid. If we trade draft picks for a player then fans will complain about not having enough picks. If we keep all our picks the players we select will be wrong.
