I enjoy their show, especially, this time of the year, with the free agent and draft discussion. I don't get the impression that he wants to be the 1st to report on news and I have no idea how well informed he is, either. I do think the person of interest is Kwesi-Adofo-Mensah. His drafts, in my opinion, were pretty bad.

I wouldn't call Pearsall or Williams busts at this point. But it's trending in the wrong direction and they were both drafted too high. Over drafted. You agree with a lot of the rest.

The only upside Seattle has on us is they were able to trade away some of these guys at the height of their value and we've either had to hold onto guys too long cuz of need, injury or insanity(Aiyuk)
It's crazy that even after leaving Seattle Russell Wilson haunts us. Winning that absurd game in 2022 and we end up missing the 1 seed cuz of it and then by netting Seattle an absolute haul right before his career goes to crap.

I got 1/9 picks and some traded away that we didn't have. Somebody should be fired for this. Yet this is the guy who is perfect, irreplaceable and nobody else can ever coach this team. You can't win like this.
You were running around claiming victory with Pierce, now he's probably going to jail for attempted murder or some s**t…any objective person knows you don't grade drafts for the first couple seasons.

He still can't bring himself to say that guys name or even address the situation

Yeah the Wilson trade saved Schneider's job. They needed so much that they could just go BPA with those early picks and it would pay off.
Couple yrs later they won it all, now they have the SB tax. They're gonna be losing good young players because they can't pay everyone. No more high end picks.

also williams and pearsall have been solid when played and they have both yet to play a whole season they are clearly talents and starter level even if they dont improve. Aiyuk also was a good pick as was mcGlinchey who is now one of the top RT in NFL he also had a soid last few years with us

I think if we stand back and look at it in context it can clear some things up.
3rd rounders under Kyle
2017:
Ahkello Witherspoon
CJ Beathard
2018:
Fred Warner
Tarvarius Moore
2019:
Jalen Hurd
2021:
Trey Sermon
Ambry Thomas
2022:
Tyrion Davis-Price
Danny Gray
2023:
Ji'Ayir Brown
Jake Moody
Cameron Latu
2024:
Dominick Puni
2025:
Nick Martin
Upton Stout
Guys in bold are good picks. Fred obviously is a home run pick. Guys that are underlined weren't great picks but they were solid depth, spot starters who made an impact for us even if it wasn't all great.
If you look at our drafting before we went to the playoffs it wasn't terrible. CJ Beathard should've never been a 3rd round pick and I don't think we ever had him pegged as a potential starter.
Jalen Hurd by all accounts was the best looking receiver in that training camp and looked great in that first preseason game before he got injured.
I think our biggest misses happened after we felt the team was too good and we were chasing potential starters or specific types of players vs looking to take the best player possible.
Who knows where Nick Martin will end up being on this list but I think the more recent drafting hopefully leads to better results. It's kind of crazy looking back how bad the Trey Lance impacted drafts were.

Funny, other teams' success is always the result of a lucky break.

Pearsall NEVER found the endzone. Not even 1 time. All year long. Plus he's always injured and missing games. That's not a 1st round pick. Mykel Williams is a beast at setting the edge with power and length. But not much pass rush ability. He had 1 sack. Now he has a knee injury and we don't know how much that will effect him. Because power, strength and setting the edge come a lot from having a very strong base (your legs). If you are injured or recovering you may not be the same. His greatest strength and reason for being out there may now be compromised.
