Yea and he also got us Vernon Davis, Michael Crabtree, Patrick Willis, Navarro bowman , Anthony Davis, Mike lupati, Joe Staley , dashon goldson, ray mcdonald, his track record s**ts on lynch no offense, oh and frank gore

Weird attempt at a flex. They both seem comparable:

Vernon -> kittle (think I take kittle but tough)
crabtree -> Aiyuk and deebo (aiyuk and deebo by a mile… much more if aiyuk didn't go crazy)
willis/bowman -> warner/greenlaw (tough call but Willis and bowman edge them out I think)
Anthony davis -> mcglinchey/mckivitz (draw nothing special)
staley -> ???(wouldve put mcglinchey here but kept him at right tackle above… left tackle has been a major failure for us in the draft but a huge plus trading for Trent)
iupati -> puni (puni has time but clearly iupati wins now)
Goldson -> hufunga (i take huf. Goldson didn't do much when away from all star defense. Mostly a good complement to team)
Ray mac -> bosa (hard to compare different types of ends but bosa clearly wins)
Gore -> nobody (other biggest failure but shanahan probably deserves blame here)

last one is purdy which gives lynch a big lift getting a franchise qb with the last pick versus argument that Scott probably blew the first pick with smith.

fyi couple of these weren't Scotty m picks but I'll give you benefit of the doubt that maybe he impacted picks.

Sign Alec Pierce or Romeo Doubs, sign Isaiah Likely to fill in for Kittle while he's gone, draft KC Concepcion in the first round.

Sign Pierce, swap out Likely for Njoku and trade Mac Jones for a wideout (Michael Wilson) and draft defense again.

Fix the offense in free agency or trades: LG, WRx2, TE and draft defense: Edge, 3T, CB and S.

I didn't care about anything else you said after I read that you "think" you would take Kittle over Vernon. Are you serious? That was tough? I'm guessing you would slightly edge Montana over Druckenmiller too…. But it would be close.

this would be great, although I feel like Wilson is a foundational piece in AZ, I doubt they would part with him

Ya probably shouldn't have said it was that close but have fond memories of Vernon and think people forgot how good he was in his prime. Right now George is 10 in receiving yards all time and Vernon is 13. Vernon is 7 in tds and George is 12. Stats aren't everything but including to point out your reaction is a bit exaggerated.

This is not directed at Lynch or anything, but apparently someone wants to continue doubling down on the investment of pretty average OL players like Austin Pleasants who's not terrible but not good. He's been given a tender offer for a little over $1 million (a drop in the bucket, still don't understand what tender is) for a season, I guess? It's decent OL depth I suppose but nothing that moves the needle.

Why not fire John Lynch and get Mike Borgonzi as our new GM. He's won (3) Superbowls with the Kansas City Chiefs! Get a lockdown winning type of GM, who wants to win the big one (Superbowl) and not just make an appearance and excuses. Hey, look at what Seattle did and they just won a Superbowl in our backyard, even the Patriots made it into the dance...

More accurate, quicker thinker, better preparation, better ability to lift lesser talented teams, was the reason we had the lead in the Super Bowl (would have been the reason we won if we had won,) was the bus driver and not a bus rider (unlike Sam Darnold.) There's more, someone else might care to entertain this further, but I am not going to waste any more time on this than I have to.

Not on Purdy that the 49ers' front office has an inability to consistently draft well. Even the best QBs can only lift inferior rosters so far.

Do people actually think Darnold is better than Purdy?? Crazy talk

Who really is calling the personnel shots? Does Lynch ultimately defer to Shanny? Didn't he bring up Mahomes to Shanny once after scouting him live or something and Shanny said "Nah, I'm good".
I wonder if they would make a GM change so close to the combine and draft? Seems like a bad time to make a change.
I don't have a problem with lynch as our GM. I would like them to assess how they choose players in the first 3 rounds and compare the process to 4th-UDFA. See what the key differences there are, if any.

I get that at times you have to draft for "need" but I'd like to see more "BPA" and then try to fill needs in FA and trades as responsible as possible.

Overall I think the regime has done a good job. Just need to figure out the first 3 rounds on a consistent basis.its either an ALL PRO selection or someone who never plays. Lol it's weird

There isn't really any right or wrong way to draft. It often depends on the team needs, player fit and who's available when they pick. If there was a way that would guarantee success then every team would use that system when they draft. You can interview and analyze all you want but in the end it often comes down to luck.

The Cardinals are not trading Michael Wilson, you gotta get off of that. He just had a thousand year season in his third year in the NFL with Jacoby Brissett throwing him the football. The only way theyre moving him is if its part of a deal to get Justin Jefferson in return.

Signing/trading for a big time WR (hill, pickens, jefferson) is just going to handcuff this team.

Not sure why this team can't start a rookie like JSN.
WR in the first 2 rounds gets you 4 years on the cheap.

The lines and the secondary need help.

Let alone trade Michael Wilson to a NFC West rival. lol
2 moves that solve biggest needs and the rest of our moves can fill out the needs around them:

1. Sign Lindebaum in FA
2. Draft KC Concepcion in the 1st round

I'm pounding the table for this.
