I wonder if there's any truth to this. It sounds like pure speculation, but maybe?

I wonder who they'd bring in…

Nolan Teasley from the Seahawks

Seems dumb to have let Peters leave and then end up hiring a GM right after. I didn't understand why they didn't replace "promote" Lynch and have Peters take over.

This is where that came from…not sure how much of an insider he is regarding something like that

I think a lot of us believe Lynch is on a short leash….also think the whole Kyle is the final say on everything is overblown.

This would be amazing.

Lynch's days are done. He's made too many mistakes.

Get in an experienced GM who calls all the shots and Shanahan sticks to coaching only.
Maybe they wanted this setup with Peters but Peters wanted to be the brains and the figurehead so he went to Washington. Maybe the guy they potentially are bringing in doesn't care about being the face of the organization and just wants to run the operation

Maybe they bring back Kwesi Adolfo-Mensah or Ran Carthon to be GM? And John Lynch as Team President?

While I agree, Teasley isn't an 'experienced' GM. However, he has been around one of the best for some time and has experience in scouting both pro ( free agents) and college players.
An available experienced GM probably means he has failed somewhere.
Not sure I believe it.
Man if they could bring in someone like George Kokinis. Started with the Browns under Belichick, came up under Ozzie Newsome in Baltimore, was GM with the Brown for less than a year, he was fired for supposedly s**tting on the owner's desk.

Since then he's been working in Baltimore under Newsome and DeCosta.

You don't believe they are considering the move or you don't believe it will happen ?
Whoever has been in charge of our drafts this decade probably shouldn't be in charge of that anymore

Everything about the above just makes too much sense.

I have never been able to find a full description of what happened but Browns beat writers have alluded to it being something outright legendary so s**tting on the owner's desk sounds about right.

That is the crux of the matter.

Drafting will always be a bit of a crap shoot, however, the failure rate of high draft picks over the years cannot be ignored.

The challenge will be how much authority Kyle Shanahan will be given in the selection process. AS HC, he must be allowed a significant amount but how much?
