With an accurate fast decision making QB that throws catchable passes like we've got we need speed and separation at receiver and we're sure to threaten defenses next year

Sign Alec Pierce or Rashid Shaheed, if Pierce is too expensive, and draft KC Concepcion with the 27th pick. That instantly fixes our issues of needing more speed and athleticism at WR.

If we did sign him he would be our 2nd best WR as of today.

Vertical speed has been lacking and that's why I believe the Niners should target the former 2nd round pick out of Baylor
The 6'2" wide-out clocked a 4.28 40 and put up his most productive season last year with 438 yards on… pic.twitter.com/c9Isx1y2RS

He hasn't been very productive in his 4 years. Only a little over 800 yards total. Even with KC he didn't play a lot. There must be a reason.

And there has to be teams out there that are willing to give up very nice compensation for Bosa before he declines. I'm not saying he could fetch a first…but maybe? Imagine what having multiple firsts or seconds in this and/or next year's drafts could do for us.
That said, hell no to trading any of our other linchpins because they're worth far more to our team than what they can yield in the trade market.
STILL comes down to coaching tho.. and Shanny just ain't it... Shanny could not have won w/that Seattle team... dude just can't coach..
whatever formula that we think should be used, aint' happenin as long as Shanny be the HC..
this has to be rage bait.
not a serious take.

Route running might be suspect?

Tutu Atwell would be my preferred choice. Should come cheap, hasn't fumbled in 3 years, and would be the fastest WR on our team.

Went to two Super Bowls with two different QB's. I'd say that's some damn good coaching right there.
There were 8 or 9 HC openings in the NFL, not one brought your boy PJ Fleck in for an interview. No one gives a s**t about him or what he's done in college.
.. and how well did your Shanny do in college?
CRY all you want, bottom line is your Shanny is 0-2 in the Super Bowl and we're back to battling for the 3rd place in our Division.. all thanks to him and the INJURY JINX he brings to the team..
I really don't understand why people are acting like this is all on KS. Are there better coaches than him? For sure. But he is a very good coach. The real issue is Lynch. This team lacks good young talent. The majority of the defensive starters are mid and the offense is relying on old dudes minus Purdy.
Lynch has to go if this team wants to win a SB.
The issue is we don't know who really is making the picks. Shanny does have final say but' how often does he use it or stepped in. We know he stepped in and got BA paid.
I think Lynch and Shanahan should both share the blame on all their drafts. Then again they shouldn't get all the credit for them either, it was Brian Griese who found Purdy. Trey Lance was a Shanahan pick but he also wanted Mac Jones. Mike McGlinchey I believe was a scout pick. That's what I remember off the top of my head. So yah they shouldn't both share blame and not get all the credit.
It's almost as if running a football operation takes many people to make decisions and some get it right and some get it wrong.
People act like GMs and coaches are lounging in an office by themselves making all the draft picks with input from no one else lol

They get input but it's well documented that both Lynch and Shanny have the final say. I will always believe that Shanny has the ultimate say and can trump whatever Lynch wants; like how Lynch had Joe Williams completely off the board and Shanny not only drafted him, but traded up to do so

The blockbuster trade we need to make isn't for Maxx, IMO. It's for a star WR like Justin Jefferson or Jamar Chase.
Bosa/Williams will return. Aiyuk won't and he left a burning hole in the roster.

Cry? Pretty sure I'm doing the opposite of crying. And who gives a crap about college!!!! Shanahan is a top 5 coach in the NFL, a place all coaches in the football world are trying to get to.
All coaches who got to Super Bowls in today's NFL have lost one. Andy Reid lost two, Belichick lost a few, Nick Sirriani, Jim Harbaugh, Pete Carroll to name a few. Those coaches must not it either right. Shoot Sean McDermott can't even make it to one, same with Dan Campbell who had one of the best OC's in football.
Too bad Shanahan never got a chance to have a HOF QB by his side.
.... and who chose to not have one? did he not get a shot of bringin in...
Mahomes
Brady
Aaron
Staff
... but was so smart that he rather roll with Bobby's grandson... then Grappy... and giving up the ranch on some child name Lance..

Jefferson is signed through the next 3 years. Chase for the next 4. Jefferson is set to make about $40 million per year. Chase only slightly less.
