Which is depressing considering how many perfectly fitting centers will be available in the draft.

Super depressing

Part of the issues with our run game this year can be attributed to Kyle's instance in force feeding CMC and his decline as a RB.

Was he missing holes or not reading the lanes properly? This stance doesn't hold water unless there's film showing he simply didn't execute….which I don't think is true

Because we don't have that double headed monster. Brian Robinson is a far cry from David Montgomery.

This is not a Kyle thing, teams who have a dominant RB use them a lot too. Eagles Tank Bigsby (who's on par talent level wise with Brian) had 58 carries as their backup (3rd string RB had 14, 4th string 12) Brian almost had double the amount of carries that Tank had (with 98)

Colts, back up RB had 26 carries, their 3rd string 14 carries, and their 4th string 9....

I'm sure that if teams like those or the Ravens, Bills, ATL, had a very solid backup RB, 90% of the carries wouldn't just go to their star RB either.

This, Brob isn't anything special. Sure we'd like to off load some work and keep everyone fresh. The other RB has to be able to play the position at a high enough level to put CMC on the bench.

Cook. Henry, Robinson, Taylor etc weren't splitting carries for a reason.

This regime don't value offensive line, I expect a wr signing and maybe safety or d-line only in free agency
People on the 49ers sub reddit are fantasizing about trading for Justin Jefferson.

Just to get this out of the way, that's not happening, right? Nor is Jamar Chase/Garrett Wilson?

If the Aiyuk/Deebo hole is going to be filled, it'll be by someone like Alec Pierce, right?

Anything is possible in NFL at this point so I wouldn't be shocked if they trade for an All World WR.
I think they should sign or trade for two or three 10 millions guys instead.
Sign guys that aren't stars but at least are good route runners and can create separation. Purdy will find those guys. He doesn't need All Pro WRs, he proved that this season.
If by miracle Justin Jefferson joins the Niners, I won't be mad but fans have to lower their expectations here I think.

I would prefer they draft a WR early on if they get a shot at a good one. Then they have him for at leat 3 years without over paying. By the time his contract is due for renegotiation they should know if he's the real deal or if he's another diva. They can't afford to overpay another player when they're trying to fill holes.

I don't see MIN ever wanting to dump Jefferson, nor do I see us being able to pay him, or cough up the draft capital to acquire him.
Having said that, I think getting Justin Jefferson would be a franchise-changing move. I'd be beyond stoked

The rumors are surfacing similarly to Joe Burrow trade rumors: It's because of how he's answered questions in press conferences regarding the team's QB play.

Not saying it's anything, but if Jefferson were to get traded it would be because he wants out, obviously not because the Vikings want to do it. Same with Chase or Wilson. No team WANTS to trade players of that caliber, their hand is just sometimes forced.

Zero chance they trade for any top 5 WR. Teams aren't moving them and we aren't gonna give them what they want.

the Addison stuff (questionable source) actually makes sense though.

Alex Pierce is gonna get vastly overpaid like most FAs. Personally I don't think he's really that good.

id give up a 4th (at most) for Addison and try to extend him mid season if he plays well isn't a head case.

Use our first 3 picks on DL/OL and DB. Try and sign a vet IOL and is what we can get for Mac in a trade.

JJ is gonna cost multiple 1sts and teams will be lining up for his services. I believe Minn would have a massive amount of DM moving him as well.

folks should start looking at more realistic trade options.

I'd like to see them sign a TE like Isaiah Likely that can be a serious receiving threat with Kittle unlikely to be available or at 100% for most of next season.

I think Chris Olave or Brian Thomas Jr are real possibilities.
Pierce would be a dream add but agree he'll get too much money on the open market.

I think we should focus our money on o-line and impact d-line. Sign 2 2nd tier WR, invest 1-2 picks on WR.
