The biggest gripe I have is his bending to Deebo and Aiyuk and awarding them the contracts he did. Those two contracts and the dead money absolutely killed us this year, those two contracts are why Huf and Law are Broncos.

... and this is the reason why it's SHANNY... he's yet to learn and determine which players should get paid for the better of the team..
I'm finna crash out if LA or SEA wins it on our turf....theres literally no going back on it..... even winning it all afterwards doesn't do anything to it....
Here's a guy whom we should consider as GM for the SF 49ers, Mike Borgonzi. He's an Asst.GM with the KC Chiefs, helped them win (3) Superbowls. That's something that we really need. Experience at winning, something that the Front Office and Kyle Shanahan needs, someone to learn and share with.... Also, another name to consider is Seahawks senior director of player personnel Matt Berry. Just take a look at how Seattle was able to build during and after Pete Carroll's departure. The Seahawks absolutely whipped our asses. Poor management decisions really hurt us, including the drafting of Trey Lance and other busts that never worked out...

He's currently the Titans GM. Pay attention!
Time to move on from Lynch. Something has to change and he has been surpassed by his competitors.

We have him for at least one more year. If he gets extended, so does our string of bad drafting.
I think it's time to get a real personnel guy in here.

not a CEO cheerleader

What about the mid and late round picks that they got. Kittle and warner weren't high picks. Both are future HOF players. Pulling off trades that brought in CMC and Trent Williams. They drafted Al Shaiir and Greenlaw. They drafted Hufanga. Unfortunately those guys moved on for personal or monetary reasons.

No GM hits on every pick. No team never loses a good player in free agency. They've had some unfortunate misses in recent drafts but much of that has been because of their draft position. The one year when they were in a spot to make a move and draft higher was a poor draft because of the Covid restrictions. They ended up making a terrible move . Just their luck that it wasn't a good draft year.

Seattle has done well recently but it was really 2023 when they hit pay dirt. They had two #1s and two #2s. When was the last time ther 49ers had picks like that in a good draft year.

I checked very early this morning.,I'm really ready for this. 11 years is enough meanwhile Seattle two year rebuild and my bet is they win the SB. I think we have been fair in a decade. There has been some good but not enough to win it all. It's time.

Now John is an awesome guy but we need a bulldog to not bend to Kyle's every ask. Sometimes no is no. No to that guy. No to that guy. Yes to this guy like it or not.

I'd have no problem moving on from him,but unless they're gonna hire a legitimate GM and change the front structure nothing will change, rip on Lynch all you want but he isn't making these decisions on his own if at all.
The reality is that the 49ers I feel are 2, maybe 3 drafts from being back as contenders IF they select the right people. Critical to me is rebuilding the offensive line, one that can stop an elite defensive line like we see in Seattle and LA and others. Also, we need a DL that can pressure the QB and stop the run. Championships are built in the OL and DL and then by having impact players. We have impact players for now, but our DL and OL are just not good enough.Purdy is good enough to win a Super Bowl I feel IF he is protected and IF he has receivers who can play and make an impact. We cannot measure our team against the mid to lower tier teams of the NFL and that was what a lot of this year was. We have to see how we play against top tier teams and we saw that result on the week 18 game and on Saturday. We may not like the Hawks, but they sure dominated us so they are the standard to beat in our division right now.

We also seem to have a reliance one one impact player. For example, Bosa makes a HUGE difference when he is there, but we must stop relying just on him. We've seen the impact of that strategy this year when he went out. We need to build a line that can impact even when Bosa is out. Depth, this team needs depth and we don't have it right now. CM is another. There is NO way he can continue to carry the load he did this year and last. His body will wear down even more quickly. So to improve it has to come through the draft, Jed York has been pretty clear about that. Thus who Lynch and Shanahan select are critical to the success of the team and the next two drafts are going to be critical. They need to nail some of their picks and only time will tell if they do that. If they get it right, they'll stay as heros. In 2-3 seasons we are struggling, then we know they scewed up and it will be too late by then. Overall I think they have selected some good players but man, they need to nail this years draft and next years or we will not be in a retooling phase, but in a major rebuilding phase. I think this draft and next year's draft will be that critical to this team. I don't want to face a rebuild. Been there in the 2004 through 2011 and I don't want to go back there, EVER!

No I think Shanahan and Lynch are the right people right now, and I believe they can get this right, but they need to do so starting this year.
