24 year old first round pass rusher for a multiple injury 28 year old 7th round receiver

I mean the Ravens just traded Odafe Oweh who was a 1st rd pick coming off a 10 sack season. Only difference is he's playing on his 5th yr option this yr vs next yr for Thibo.

the trade was for safety Alohi Gilman (who) & swapping day 3 picks, Baltimore got a 2026 5th rd and the Chargers got a 2027 7th rd.

Thibo has spent his time on IR as well. Jennings doesn't suck and who gives a s**t when he was drafted at this point?

good points, and Jennings is a good receiver, I guess I've been seeing so much on social media lately where 49er fans think other teams will take their trash or trash picks for their best players. Been seeing some real unrealistic trade proposals out there

Still no signings??? Come on lynch you slacking, defense is hurting, make it good
Garry, Hendrickson , and thib should be on the team by now, what's the hold up
I still think Fowler and Graziano's Trey Hendrickson "reporting" is actually outdated news and based on "sourcing" from before our last game lol.

They need to get with it and talk to their "sources" again they would likely say something different now.

So when they trade for someone, what's the narrative gonna be then?

Hey, I would be happy. But you have to ask what is the payback for spending money/giving up draft when there's no fred, no nick, and 2 pretty decent qb's that will be taking 6-10 hits a game between now and december.

I mean the idea is bringing in good young talent, not a one yr rental. they're gonna have multiple comp 4th rd pick to use. Get the defensive guy and use those other picks on OL (you'd hope).
Super Bowl or bust, stop being cheap lynch

You know the answer. There will be some that say we gave up too much. Some that will say we should have gotten someone else. A few that will say it's a good trade.

With the Warner injury, the needs become much more overwhelming for one trade to address the situation. Some considerations, pro and con:

- Perhaps trading for Trey Hendrickson, it could work if he signs an extension. That might make Bosa a trade candidate when he returns given salaries...
- Warner is a tougher question. I'm not sure what he's going to be when he returns. What is the status of the whole second level without him, and does a trade help at this stage.
- I'm concerned about giving up too much draft capital. The team drafted well over the last two drafts. The 2026 draft needs to address the Oline, amongst other considerations.
- I'm not sure what the team's thoughts are on safety.

- Overall, coming into the season, I was hoping the team might grab an Olineman at the trade deadline. With the need at pass rush, the loss of Warner, and the continuing return of WRs and offensive players, I'm not sure a midseason trade is prudent right now. The team might be better off letting the talent develop and letting the chips fall where they are. Another full draft in the offseason is likely what the doctor ordered.
What's the point of trading for a DE now? There is a MASSIVE hole at LB. Just go all in on youth now. No trades

I write all this. But price is also a thing. Lynch got big Trent Williams for a 3rd, that was a steal.

Yeah, I'm concerned there are too many needs. The team could let the talent develop, and then go into another draft and continue to have one of the deeper teams (again) when all the talent returns.

He's been all over everything mostly though. Going 8 out of 10 and calling stuff days before it happens shows he's got connections (or an agent himself).

also sounds like BA was well on his way to getting traded until Kyle changed it up last sec.

Because there's good young players worth trading for. This isn't a one yr rental thing.

also EDGE > LBer.

I suspect there is a lot of discussion inside the building about how realistic their chances are of really competing this year with all of the injuries. If they thought they were one player away from making a legitimate run, then maybe they would be more inclined to make a move. However, guys like Maiocco are suggesting what they're hearing is that the team is less interested in a one-year rental like Hendrickson, who they're clearly not in a position to pay next year, and holding on to their cap space and draft picks to continue to retool the roster which, in spite of the influx of rookies this year, is still one of the oldest in the league, I think.

If Brock and Mac have to continue to gut it out through injuries this year, I'd think there would also be a lot of talk about using this year to give the rookies experience and get everyone healthy and ready to go in 2026. when Warner and Bosa will be back, and they'll still have Mac under contract.
