A guy like thibo is who they should be trading for. He's young & under contract thru 2026.

Do you think the rash of injuries will suddenly stop with Warner? Losing Bosa pretty much derailed a legit chance to make a SB run. To lose Warner? The QB of the defense? I don't care much if they're getting some of their offensive players back soon....I see a downward trend starting.

I do think we should still fight to make the playoffs and that 4-2 is way too early to throw in the towel 99 times out of 100 (and this is still one of those 99 times), but I do agree that it would take a miracle for this team to win four playoff games in a row. Like, bigger miracle than the 2017 Eagles winning three.

And no other team will have any sort of injures? Football is a week to week thing man. Folks need to understand this. Seattle is a Darold high ankle sprain away from being awful. The Rams are a hard back tackle away from Stafford being done etc etc.

yes we've been f**ked with big time injuries. Warner is a massive blow BUT the train keeps on moving. This team is still 4-2 and 3-0 in the division. Do what you can to make the team better, without sacrificing the future of the roster too much….why would trading for a good young player be an awful thing? Oh no a good player that helps now and in the future?

I'm not saying just throw your hands up and quit. If SF can get a guy who can be a key piece for 2025 and beyond....sure go get him in a trade for the future, especially. If it's just for a so-called half year rental/run for this year? Absolutely no way am I spending any picks on that.

Need a starting Safety, a MLB, a DE, and an entire OL. Too much to ask for at the trade deadline imo.

Finally, someone pointing out the obvious. Niners will need to keep their draft capital and use it EARLY to fix the OL.

Next April there will be people saying the Niners should draft players at LB, Edge and even RB. O line is the biggest need but by the end of the season who knows what the needs will be.

The OL has been our biggest need since the beginning of time, but Kyle and Lynch Insists on sticking with Brendel and McKivitz

McKivitz has been the only decent lineman this year. Niners signing him for 3 years @ $15 million per is looking pretty good right now. Brendel on the other hand is a turnstile who probably blocks someone maybe 60% of the time and whiffs or just watches the other 40%.

How do you define blocking though? Just touching the defender a little bit? Yes he does that as well

Which is what I basically stated.

Why don't we cross that road when/if we get there? All you can do is play the game week to week and try to improve the roster while you can.

they have a s**t ton of young players that need to step up and do what they were drafted for. We supposedly have a top end QB that's gotta step up and play to that contract now.

they gotta try and bring in some help on the DL. This defense can't play like it's suppose to without some sort of rush. Get a player (or two) that can help this yr and the upcoming season.

I still believe Demario Davis + Cam Jordan for a late pick would be worth it to give all of our young guys on defense a salvageable veteran presence. But it would have to be a VERY late pick no higher than a 6th.

Otherwise, I agree. No more Trey Hendrickson for a 2nd and change or anything like that. If we trade a Day 1 or Day 2 pick it needs to be for a future player (and for the sake of all things—if we trade a Day 1 pick it BETTER be for Trent Williams' replacement!)

Kyle basically said it already, don't expect a one yr rental trade. This season isn't lost by any means. It's football and a week to week thing
I'm not sure how good Eric Kendricks is anymore, but I do know he had 138 tackles last season. I also know he chose the cowboys over us. Why not give him a workout? He'd be a good veteran presence .

He had offseason shoulder surgery and that's apparently scaring teams away. The Ravens offered him a practice squad spot but he basically said no he wants an active roster spot.

I wouldn't hate it but you really can't use a stat sheet to determine how good a linebacker is.
My god we've used 3 5th rd picks (2 to move up to the 4th) for two RBs that haven't received a single offensive snap this yr

At this point… I'm just hoping either James OR Watkins contribute something noticeable this year.

I can see that scenario (although I would prefer the team to get a guy who could be an impact for years to come) just to give the rest of the (defense) team some insurance that the brass hasn't given up the season. I see little to no reason to be engaged with this season other than watching some of the young players/rookies develop - that's if they can stay healthy.

Why not both? Trade our better 6th (Vikings or ours) to the Saints for Davis and Jordan, and then trade our 2nd to the Titans for Simmons! I should be GM!

((Okay I'm aware you need the other team to say "yes" lol))
