I wouldn't mind if they brought in an older player with some juice left even if it's someone at the tail end of their career. The defense badly needs another veteran leader. It's Dmo and a bunch of youngsters right now.

Yes, they're on expiring contracts. Yes, they're probably not good enough to replace Bosa/Warner in terms of making us Super Bowl contenders. But I really think the veteran presence of this season alone would be important for all our young guys, both in terms of making something out of this season and helping them develop.

If the Saints take a 6th for them I would do it tbh. They'll only cost $2.5M too.

They wouldn't shed much salary but with their cap situation I think they'll take every penny they can get lol

And we can offer them the better 6th between ours and the Vikings' (we already gave the worse of the two to Washington for Robinson). That better 6th will be much more valuable than two 7ths that they would get from trading each player individually.

Just don't touch any of our first three picks or that 4th/5th we don't trade to the Eagles. Keep the higher end of our draft capital this time.

The NFL has the ultimate parity right now! Anyone can be beat by any team. There is no clear cut best team on either side.

Do them a solid now to set up for trading for Erik McCoy in offseason.

I'd rather spend picks on guys that are gonna be on the team past this season….unless it cost basically nothing. Sounds like that's Kyle's mindset as well.

Lombardi was talking about Johnson and LBer Williams in NJ which makes sense. Both are signed thru 2026. I doubt they make an actual move for LBer though.

It would be something to consider if the young guys(ie Pearsall, Cowing, Watkins) were healthy.

Interesting. Bethune has made strides - hoping he can continue to get better (and settled) as his playing time increases. I also wonder about Martin and if he'll finally start getting some playing time in being phased into the LB corp.
