Lunch is consistent, I mean McDonalds, Burger King, Arby's and Jack n Box pretty much are.

Not defending Lynch but I do have a question. Is what we are seeing this year a result of Jed York cutting back financially on this team? Does having limits placed on you financially impact who you can go after in free agency and/or retain? The issue for me is we are retaining older players, past their prime that are fan favorites and not replacing them with core players that can develop into outstanding or elite players. The truth is we have no depth and that IS Lynch's fault. Not seeing what is needed and seeking players to replace the aging players. We also are not building up the trenches and that to me is where you win games. Anyway, there just doens't seem to be the same financial investment in this team. Is it Lynch or is it Jed York or a combination? Thoughts?

So much to digest here.

First of all Jed is # 5 in cash spending since 2011. https://thecapisfake.com/2024/06/18/nfl-cash-spending-through-the-years/

Second who are the players we have retained that are past their prime? I assume you mean CMC, Kittle, Trent Williams? Ok fair point, i guess you can move on from those players (I wouldn't) but who you going to replace them with? You don't just go into a draft and say "I'm going to replace CMC, Kittle, and Trent" and then proceed to draft 3 studs.

Then your 3rd point is we don't have depth. I think our depth is just fine compared to around the league. Nobody has pro bowlers sitting on there bench. If the Browns lost Myles Garrett, you think his backup Cameron Thomas is going to provide a decent pass rush? Hell no they would be screwed.

So basically we need to build the trenches with stud players, replace older players with stud players, and build great depth. Basically hit a homerun on every draft pick!!! If you could do that 32 teams would hire you.

GM of a s**t show team
Poor drafts and brutal contracts.l/ability to negotiate. Either we sign them past their prime because we didnt have the fortitude to think ahead or let players push us into contracts we dont want.

Hands on balls is not a philosphy that works unless its your QB.
There have been too many bad/overpay contracts in the past few years. Deebo, Aiyuk, and thus far...Purdy. The drafts have gotten worse and worse. The OL is a mess.

This is an old team with injury prone players. The Eagles, Lions, Packers, Bucs, and Rams, Washington (maybe), and possibly Seattle have surpassed us. We had two golden chances and blew it. And this is what we are left with.

Something needs to change

I don't think the depth is fine at all.

we've had years to find good OTs… with good tackle drafts in recent years. And don't come on here telling me Mckivits is good. We can do better. Should have done better. Our Center play is also below average. THE NINERS ARE ALMOST DEAD LAST IN RUSHING!

we draft like crazy on the DL and rarely hit. We take fliers on multiple early RBs and miss. We miss with our high ST picks. We have drafted several WRs and most of them missed. The ones we have are hurt. And we have wasted several years of possibly teaming up kittle with another high end TE and never seemed inclined to do it.

we can draft linebackers and sometimes secondary. That's it. What kind of depth can you build like that? We wasted several drafts in recent years. Missed on just about every pick.
Mckivitz has been good. That's just reality.
Time to ring the phones Lynch, let's get us a pass rusher
I hope that the 4-1, 3-0 in division, encourages lynch to be aggressive and get Hendrickson. That would be a game changer for our defense. Send a 2nd and 3rd or so. Even if it's for a year - give these guys the best chance possible to make a run as we heal up down the stretch. Only player we aren't getting back is Bosa and we desperately miss his impact
Still need DL help
OL help
Secondary help

Same s**t we needed in the offseason and the draft
It's early and lots of ball to be played. But if they season ended tonight.

We are the.....#2 seed.....Behind only the Eagles. A weekend of games still to be played which may effect that. But still. With our injuries. It's incredible.

PERSONALLY, I think we are NOT as good as our record is... we still need to get a LEGIT receiver and another DE before we can compete come playoff time !!

Yeah.. this is not a typical 4-1 team. They remind of of those SB Giant teams. More luck and good fortune rather than being an elite team but they fought hard. I just don't trust the OL or the defense. Same holes we usually have.

I don't think we are as good as our record either. But still we are 4 - 1 with a hospital ward and 3 - 0 in the division. #2 seed right now. Weekends games are still pending. So not sure how that shakes out. But with what we are facing it's amazing right now. This fast start will help our overall record be much higher than what I previously thought. They could go .500 the rest of the way and finish 10 - 7. That's if it goes pretty bad. Anything a little better and you are 11 - 6 or better. I would not guess that for this year.
Go get us Hendrickson, save the season this team is a contender
