What draft picks?

Well, we already tried to trade for one and the article on the front page says we're looking at trade options for wide receivers.

Okay, I saw that ... could be something other than picks, but it's a really vague thing right now.

He also may not be available. He can have an agreement in place with a team and is just waiting for camp to end to put pen to paper.

I wouldn't want someone who doesn't want to be in camp. How would that help us. How would that help his chemistry with Brock. IF that's the case but who knows

True. It's just that people think he's just out there begging for a job, the reality is he almost certainly has terms on what it will take for him to agree ... money, and starting opportunity, and position he gets to play.

I don't think the 9ers are really looking to spend early to mid round picks on a WR. If they did Metchie would've been a 9er.
If they'd really wanted Metchie you'd have thought they could've easily beat the Eagles offer.

True I think a 2026 4th round pick could've done it. I think they'll wait till cut down day. I still wish they would sign a vet off the market like Amari Cooper but is that dude even healthy.

Looking at what we are willing to pat FA's right now, cut down day will be our FA frenzy. 😂

I'd be surprised if they signed 3 players after final cuts.
Is Amari Cooper THAT expensive or cooked to where we cant justify spending on him to have a healthy, solidified WR on roster?? instead of scrubbing bottom of other teams rosters

Maybe Jauan Jennings should run up a $10,000,000 "tab" at a "restaurant" and Jed York/John Lynch can cover it for him, so he can get back to practice.

Surely just doing someone a nice favor and covering their bill doesn't count against the cap.

The dude is in rehab for his knee. How exactly would charging Jed for a $1M "meal" get him back to practice sooner?

I was referring to Jauan, not Aiyuk. I was listening to the 49ers podcast with Matt Barrows and Tim Kawakami the other day and according to their sources inside the building, it sounds like Jauan's "calf injury" is similar to Aiyuk's "back injury" from last TC. IE, it'll magically heal if he gets paid.

Proof that players are making too much money. Seriously. $10-$15k restaurant tabs?

Ah, missed that.

Eh, whatever. As long as Jennings is a gamer when it counts I don't care about his calf injury being exaggerated.

It's a rookie hazing thing.

No reason to think he's available, and we have no idea what his demands are.

A bit off topic, but I can't stress enough how much I hate that BS. The crap they do to rookies with the rookie dinners is absurd, especially since rookies don't get paid nearly as much as the vets.

Sure, a lot of the times you hear a nice little story like John Lynch or Eli Manning picking up the tab for the rookie who only has a 2-minute scare, but sometimes that doesn't happen, the rookie just gets straight-screwed.
