Jaire Alexander is a great CB but his availability is an issue, like someone said 7 games in 2yrs? WTF? I just don't get why fans want these high priced players, especially injury prone like Jalen Ramsey, Alexander when we got rid of players who made a lot & are injury prone.

14 games in 2 years. I dint think he will cost as much as some might think. If the money is right I'd kick the tires
nvm

Excellent player when he's on the field...problem is he has missed a lot of time lately and I don't see him looking to take a prove it deal. He's going to go somewhere that they'll pay him big $. I don't know if that's worth the investment.
Solid call!!
IMO, same thing w/Alexander who was just released by the Packers. He's an injury waiting to happen.
That's who we're talking about, Pratt isn't a fit for us, too slow and not enough coverage ability, better off sticking with the youngsters

i've been mentioning jordan whitehead he's on the homepage now as a possible fit. he's a hitter at safety like a goldson or whitner.

Much rather go for Julian Blackmon, hitters cause flags at this day and age.

I know some thought Trent's absence was due to his contract, never thought that, love to hear he's not thinking about retirement, and wants to play til 40, if he can do it, I'm all for it when the time comes, gonna be 37, so what? 3 more years, so through 2027? We do NEED to find a heir apparent, and someone who can come in & play at RT cause I doubt the 49ers pay McKivitz anywhere near what Jaylon Moore got, I mean McKivitz IMO is better than Moore, so if Moore got $15M a yr after not playing a lot, & never RT, then McKivitz could end up getting a Aaron Banks like deal, $19M-$20M a year.

Just keep that safety card in the back of your pocket (Whitehead, Simmons, Blackmon) just in case...

that is true. the game suffers from increased pussification. i still like whitehead. he played for saleh in new york. he also played safety in tampa, and lynch is in their ring of honor as a safety himself. so there are some connections.

Exactly! Sign one of these three and we are great! We were so close to signing Blackmon Last year just signed one of these guys for the love of s**t

If the team just keeps adding discarded safeties it's not going to do anything good for the young safeties on the roster nor the veterans.
I think it's fairly clear the plan is to wait for training camp at least.

Some bad picks by this regime. Here is how I'd rank the worst of the worst early picks:
- Trey Lance (3) - has a fight to earn the #3 QB spot for the Chargers
- Reuben Foster (31) - injury prone head case and out of the league
- Dante Pettis (44) - practice squad/end of roster WR
- Solomon Thomas (3) - turned out to be a solid rotational piece
- Drake Jackson (61) - injury prone
- Javon Kinlaw (14) - injury prone but seems to have resurrected his career after a year with the Jets
