Looks like we signed Tre Brown from Seattle. Not the guy I would've gone after but we'll see how much $

I woke up and I STILL don't understand cutting Floyd. Congrats you saved $8M out of $17M remaining and now you have no edges other than Bosa! Great work!

This team went from OT in the Super Bowl to deliberate tankers in just 13 months. Truly fascinating. Someone needs to write a book on this.

Good point. I remember being shocked by the cuts the Bills made last offseason. We know how close they were to playing in the SB.

Not saying that's going to happen with us since we don't have Josh Allen but we still have some really good players to build around and an easy schedule and good coaches in place.

Folks really need to listen to that report and get on-board. I can't recall the exact ranking without looking but we were in top five ranked oldest players/team. Guys underperforming. As reported, and I agree, this is what good teams do. It was time to take the plastic to the recycling center.

We had a damn good run despite the SB losses. What are you going to do? Lynch built the team up once. He will do it again. This year maybe an off year again but I doubt the drought lasts for long. Today is the first day of real FA. We have some great number of draft picks coming up in a very good spot.

I'm gonna miss a couple of those guys as a fan but this cleaning was required to become an elite team again. I was really kind of bummed the past couple of days but being open minded These trades and releases were necessary. Look at the dang injuries we typically have. We need an infusion of youth big time. I can't wait for the draft..

Me too, he is also young so would like him for 3 years

Other than Floyd and Juice, pretty much everyone we've let go is 27-28 years old. That's not that old.

This is probably the FO's plan. Let all the actual good edges get signed, cut our second-best edge to save some pennies and let Trey Hendrickson get traded to a team that actually wants a Super Bowl so that in the end we're content with Azeez bleeping Ojulari lol

Then they are just plain underperforming vs the new contracts signed with other teams. I can't believe the payday for a few of those guys. Good for them. Good for us not matching

Well it's clear that Jed wants to be cheap so it's kind of the best we can realistically hope for. At least he is young and talented

Just unreal. The time to be cheap was when we were playing hardball with Aiyuk/Deebo and possibly even Bosa. Not when we have a QB to sign

Last offseason was so stupid. We gave Trent and CMC raises to sit on the sidelines and do nothing, and paid Aiyuk big bucks to underperform and tear his ACL. NOW that we have a QB to sign Jed is drawing the line? Dude must be more cash poor now than we all thought… he's going to go back to most hated owner in the league like in 2015 if this offseason continues the way it's going.

You guys are so off base. I would wipe cheap out of your vocabulary and really understand what that means. Cheap means a prolonged period of time of not spending. That is not the Yorks so get over it Their wallet wide open and brought in any player wanted by Lynch.

This is housecleaning. Period.

Well put. We absolutely needed a rebuild and to get younger and cheaper. I applaud Lynch and company for doing this. I know it sucks for the fans in the short term, but we were in a downward spiral with aging veterans and bloated salaries. This really is the right thing to do and I can't wait to watch the new young players we will draft develop. Looking forward to becoming a powerhouse team again but that likely won't be until 2027. Hang in there and enjoy the ride....great things are coming!

CMC, Trent and Kittle have about 2 really good years left in each of them at the most. That's why this "rebuild" is a ridiculous idea. Unless we're trading all three of them.

Aiming for 2027 to compete for a title again is so mind-bogglingly dumb. Purdy, an old Warner/Bosa and a washed Aiyuk is all that's going to be left from this current core at that point. We might as well be starting from scratch.

Other than Floyd and Juice, pretty much everyone we've let go is 27-28 years old. That's not that old.

The guys we LET GO were going to be the following ages when the season started
Maliek Collins - 30
Leonard Floyd - 33
Juice - 34
Hargrave - 32
Deebo - 29

The guys who we decided not to sign because they cost too much or we felt we had replacements ready to go for them were
Banks - 28
Ward - 29
Moore - 27
Hufanga - 26
Greenlaw - 28
Dobbs - 30

So the younger players were the ones who left as UFAs. The guys we actually released while still under contract were mostly 30+. Deebo asked to be traded.
At this point, barring some crazy blockbuster trade with the disgruntled Bengals that nets us Hendrickson/one of their WRs/Joe Burrow, this team's ceiling is a wild card exit more than likely 8-9 (thanks to the soft schedule)

Mason Graham (IF we're lucky and he somehow falls to us) is not going to come here and save the day in his first season despite this fanbase's wishes lol
