They've already explained themselves. Why do they need to do it again?

They said they need to reset a bit on the spending and get younger. Clearly putting a lot of weight into the draft which hasn't happened yet.

Other than last years draft, the last few years have not been good. They started great with late round picks and as I said the last 3 years other than Purdy have not been great. We need two years of 2018 2019 drafts to be back in it.

This has Dr York written all over it. Shanny and Lynch will bail if they keep this up. I feel sorry for Salah coming here to a rebuild. May hurt his chances to be a HC next year.

I actually think, he'll get more offers. I have no doubt that he'll get the most out of the D (even newbies).

Analysts will have his back by either saying it's not his fault the D sucks because look what was given to him or they'll praise the hell out of him for a tremendous job he's doing with unproven commodities and what not.

2018 draft wasn't good save Fred Warner. McGlinchey was ok but a top 10 pick that doesn't make his 2nd contract with the team that took him isn't great. Pettis was too soft.

The reason last few years haven't been good was cuz of the Lance move and CMC trade killing our early picks.

Hard to truly analyze last years class but at least so far it looks very promising. Definitely need to hit on several of our picks this year in a big way. Bosa, Deebo and Greenlaw equivalents in the trenches would go a long way.

Tho getting a Bosa, Deebo and Greenlaw equivalents at their respective positions would also be very welcomed.

May be a draft we see 12+ picks and hope we hut a bunch

Remember when they gutted Harbaugh's roster before his final season???

Writing is on the wall. It's over...

i believe the major gutting of the roster happened AFTER Harbaugh left. With Willis and Borland retiring.

For the final season of Harbaugh, they got Stevie Johnson, Brandon Lloyd, Antoine Bethea (made the pro bowl too) so they werent gutting the roster like that.

Aldon Smith did leave but that was because of him not being able to get right. Carlos Rogers did leave but he retired the year after.

They gutted the roster the offseason before his last season.

This year is clearly different. Based on john's presser. But hey we'll see. If you think kyle will come save deals and overpay at the end of the day again, we shall see. It's clear the owners have put a limit on spending.

Some options still available..

DE Ojulari and Omenihu still available. We must otherwise love this draft class in the trenches. Wouldn't be surprised to see us draft 2-3 OL and DL apiece this year.

Lol. Just scroll down. I never ignore anyone on any message board unless they're spammers. I think if you start ignoring people whose opinion you don't like, you start living in an echochamber. Just my two cents tho.
