Just signed another scrub from the Giants

CB- Charvarius Ward, Colts, 3 years, 60 mil
OG- Aaron Banks, GB, 4 years, 77 mil
OT- Jaylon Moore, KC, 2 years, 30 mil
S- Talanoa Hufunga, Den, 3 years, 45 mil
LB- Dre Greenlaw, Den, 3 years, 35 mil
QB- Josh Dobbs, 2 years, 8 mil
RB- Elijah Mitchell, KC, 1 year, 3.5 mil

Those guys signed for a combined 258 million and I'd argue none were priorities to bring back.

Wards play dropped big time (probably because of his family issues) but 20 mil a year is a huge over payment.

Moore at 15 mil per year? The guy was horrible aside from a few spot starts last year.

Banks was the 50th best guard according to PFF. Almost 20 mil a year for him?

Hufunga and Greenlaw are coming off massive injuries. Thats a lot of money to spend to hope they stay healthy. Mitchell can't stay healthy. Dobbs at 4 mil per year?

It happens every year. Teams go crazy and spend piles of money on free agents and the moves rarely work out.

I agree, and outside of Greenlaw, who is a health concern, all those players are replaceable. trimming the fat, really.

I mean I'm not going to lie, it sucks losing those guys. They were fan favourites and great players but how much money can we pay for guys to be injured?

And really, aside from Greenlaw, Jaylon Moore and Dobbs we already have their replacements on the roster and we still have free agency and 11 draft picks.

This takes me back to the days of the 2004 season ending and the draft of 2005, outside of not drafting Rodgers, it was a pretty good draft of one running back....so lets get two players this year and a top 2 player in next years draft, a top 1 pick in 27' and things should be looking up for the 2028 season
