After seeing some of these contracts that OL are getting, I doubt we are looking at FA for a C.

Draft and hoping Nugent takes that next step this off season
Going with Nugent & a draft pick would be a recipe for disaster.

I've learned to calm down about offseason additions over the last few years. I have my preferences and so far...it hasn't been great.

However we really don't know how things will shake out. Nugent was a starting Center for a big time program. You never know what can happen if he's forced to start, just like most of us weren't expecting much from Purdy. I know after Lance got hurt and then Jimmy...I thought our chance at a real run was completely f'd. Yet Brock came in and played better than both of them and it was only until he got hurt that our season really ended(then again by the time your QB3 goes down...good luck to any squad)

Also possible we go with Zakelj or Matt Hennessy there. I would've liked to have signed Dalton cuz I think he was a great fit but it is what it is...
I posted a vid of Nugent and how he did in his snaps. He did not disappoint. But is always ? with a first time starter

Yes that should work, this has been our approach to the O-line since KS got here outside of the LT position.

Niners signed a good C a couple years ago in Richbourg (sp?). I know that was like 7 years ago. They did make a nice move in the draft last year. I assume this year trenches will be the theme.

Who knows the real reason, but he wasn't happy with us when we released him

I'm starting to think the niners have been smart to signal increased salary prudence. Some of these contracts are just so expensive.

Maybe they're close to a deal for JoeyBosa. They also might still thnk they can sign Greenlaw They can't go out and sign every free agent on th market with Purdy's deal pending.

Rich and Mack. Jake Bren played well.. but just fell off a cliff this past season

We have Hennesy who was a starting center until he got hurt. It could be a great signing but we do need one more Center. I'm hoping Myers
I have 0 issues with them avoiding overpaying for a FA. A lot of these deals are dumb.

Hasn't been a deal yet the Niners should have done. But Greenlaw must get done.

I'm with you here, none of these moves today would win us a super bowl.

I think we should be a development team, I know this isn't sexy in the NFL but we have to be able to develop lower round draft picks in order to be successful.

I am a big proponent of re-signing the guys we draft. I don't think we can let our developed guys reach F/A and this usually happends when we start signing big named free agents. Many of our best players came via the draft and trades, free agency actually hasn't been as great for us.

We need a real center and them dudes aren't it. Still time in FA plus the draft. I know folks wanted Dalman but he's not the only fish in the sea.

Yeah, that could be really good.
Umm does Jonathan Allen suck? Commanders basically cut him just to give the money to Kinlaw…

Same thing we did for Buckner with the same guy.
